Dejavu Hair & Nail Salon

My coworkers were all going to Renee and I loved their hair so I made an appointment with her. I had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment with her but it was worth the wait!! My hair color is amazing!! She also gave me a smoothing keratin treatment because I told her I fight with my frizzy hair, and I have zero frizz!! Renee is the first hair dresser that spent time listening to what I wanted. She showed me pictures of what she recommended, and I'm usually nervous having someone new do my hair but I was 110% comfortable with her. She has me coming back in 6weeks for a touch up on my highlights and I can't wait!! If you want the best hair you need to go see her!! I have been going to Ranae for a few years,it doesn't matter what I ask for or what kind of picture I show her she creates it!!! I always look forward to my appointments, she makes me look and feel like a super model!!! I receive a lot of compliments on my hair, and I have sent my friends and my family to Ranae and everyone loves her & her work. You can google her there are alot of write ups on the internet about her work, she is awesome & I ove her & my hair!!!! more

I had been trying to find the perfect hue of red for my hair. It took me a while to actually get the guts to leave my salon and find a Stylist who could give me what I wanted. Sarah not only gave me the perfect color red, but didn't kill my hair like my old stylist did. I've never gotten more complements on my hair than after I started going to Deja Vu. I just got the best hair cut and highlights ever! I'm so glad that I found these reviews for Deja Vu on line. Erin had such great reviews that I figured I'd try her. Happy to say this was my second visit! She's so nice and the salon is so fun. It felt like I'd been going there forever. She took the time to talk to me about what has worked and not worked for me. She asked about the time I take to style my hair and how often I get it done. She didnt pressure me to get something I didn't want and helped me figure out what I do want...awesome hair! I have thick wavy hair and she knew just how to handle it! My highlights are so soft and pretty and my hair just lays so great! GO SEE ERIN!!! She amazing! more

i have been going to this one place for my highlights and i was never happy, my blonde was always kinda orange and my haircuts were never what i wanted. i went out on a limb and decided to visit deja vu, sarah came highly recommended to me so i thought i would give it a try.. sarah talked with me and she knew exactly what i wanted and it was so much better than what i expected my blonde was BLONDE!!! the color was so even and so natural looking i LOVE LOVE it!!! my haircut was fantastic, i had taken sarah advice and finally had gotten layers, thank god it was perfect just enough body and very manageable,now i just get up and go i never thought my hair could look soo good, thanks to sarah!!! more

I thought I would give the Salon a try after reading some great reviews. I was not disappointed. The hairdresser they gave me was Renee. She was very patient and took alot of time to talk to me about how I wanted my hair to look. She colored, added some highlights and lowlights, and gave me the best haircut I have ever had. I was relaxed, I enjoyed my day at DeJa vu. The staff is very friendly, you can tell they all love working there. I already have my next appointment scheduled with Renee and I will tell everyone I know to go there. more

I have had fine, thin hair my whole life. So I was never able to grow my hair as long as I would have liked it. My friend started going to Deja Vu and told me that they do Great Lengths Extensions so I called and scheduled a consultation. My stylist was Jen and she told me everything I needed to know about the hair, how much I would need, how they were put in, the cost, even where the hair came from and she matched my color perfectly!! When I went for my appointment to put the hair in I never had so much fun at a salon. They were all so down to earth, I laughed the whole time I was there!! When she was finished I couldn't believe how my hair looked! It was so thick and healthy looking and she even made it longer for me too! I have never had hair like this in my life and with minimal maintenance for 6 months!! No one can even tell they are extensions. They look so natural!! I am so thrilled! I just got a brazilian blow out last week by Renae. She is very knowledgeable about many different chemical treatments. She took the time to talk to me about my hair, and she listened. I was very comfortable with her recommendations, and she was right on. I love my hair, I loved the Salon, and I love Renae. My hair is so easy for me to work with, the brazilian blowout is amazing and the cut she gave me is perfect!!! more

A Brazillian Blowout and highlights that are actually blonde not yellow, all at the same time for a great price! Thank you Erin! Plus the place is so fun! The girls really work great together and everyone is always laughing! \r \r My hair has never looked healthier and I love it! I just got the most amazing highlights and hair cut by Renee!!! She listened to what I wanted, took the time to look at color swatches and pictures to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. I had been going from salon to salon trying to find someone who could finally make me happy with my hair. I have long blond hair, and thanks to one salon, a great big green spot. When I finally found Jen, she was able to SAVE MY HAIR!! She not only got rid of the green, but was able to get my hair to a color I LOVE. Its no longer hard and frayed. So many stylists just get my hair done quick and when their done, their done whether I'm satisfied with it or not. Jen was able to work it out with me to find the color, cut, and style I can manage and keep up with from home. Now I love going to the salon to get my hair done, without the worry of wondering if I'm going to come out in tears. Love it!!! Pros: My hair looks just the way I want it more

I drive by DeJaVu all the time and decided to finally stop in this week. I've wanted to find a new nail salon for awhile and glad I made the decision to stop. Not only is the staff very freindly but the nail service was outstanding. I like the fact that Danielle does all the work by hand and does not use a dremel. My nails are thin and natural looking. I am now asked if they are my real nails because they look so real. Thank you so much DeJaVu I can actually say I'm finally happy with a clean and beautiful salon. Anyone looking for a new nail salon....Danielle is your girl! Pros: Excellent service, very sanitary, friendly staff Cons: I couldn't find any more

I took my very picky 17 year old daughter to deja vu to get her hair and nails done for prom. I was very nervous that my daughter would not like her hair. We got a stylist ""renee"" and WOW!!!!!! She is amazing, her work is outstanding!!! My daughters hair was the talk of the town tonight!!!! Thank you deja vu & thank you Renee!!!!\r We also had Danielle do a pedicure and a full set of acrylic nails and we were very happy with both. I loved that Danielle did not use a dremmel, I didn't want to hurt my daughters natural nails with that thing. Well I had read all the reviews here about this salon, and was very anxious to check them out! The next time I needed my hair updated, I called them right away. I had actually forgotten to schedule my appointment during that week, so I called on a Saturday morning and they managed to squeeze me in for the same day.....a huge plus in my book that they would do that.....and I was thrilled when I found out I was scheduled with Erin too!\r \r There were a lot of compliments on this site for Erin to live up to, and I'm happy to report that she did indeed live up to the hype. First, her hair is gorgeous.... I never ever trust a stylist who has outdated or badly done hair herself! Erin's hair is the most beautiful shade of blonde I've seen in a long time, and in perfect condition. It's obvious she knows what she's doing.\r My hair was very dry and brittle, and the color looked awful. Erin started talking about different options we had, and it was like music to my ears! I have been to SO many area salons, from highest priced ones to about the middle range, and never have I run across anyone as well educated regarding hair color, styling ,etc. as Erin. We made a long term plan for where my hair would end up, and discussed how to get it there, which no stylist has ever done before either.\r \r It was so very refreshing also to have a stylist who was truly up to date with not only the current styles, but also techniques. Seriously, if you want a great hair style in a really nice setting, go see Erin at DejaVu!\r \r The one ""con"" I have to say about the salon is their nail services. Not that the girl isn't nice, because she is very nice.....and she says that she is very picky about her nails turning out right.....but it's just not there, I'm not sure if it's a lack of skill, or lack of interest. I was very put off when as she was doing my acrylic nails, she kept looking everywhere in the room but at me! When you have a client, you should focus on them. Also, several times I had to wait to get my appointment started, which is no problem for me, but then was quickly rushed through so her next client (who just happened to be a friend of hers) would NOT have to wait.\r Then there are the nails themselves. Just a FILL for the pink and white nails is $35.00! And for that price, every time, they started lifting by the end of the FIRST day. Also, she does not use the dremel tool to file the nails, she does it by hand. That's OK as long as you take the time to properly thin out the acrylic, smooth them, etc. but she just doesn't. The last time I was there, I was pretty much in tears by the time I got to my car. My nails were seriously at least 1/8 th of an inch thick, some of them were 1/4 of an inch thick, and most were either wavy or bumpy, I was embarrassed to go into any store before I could get home and try to file them down myself!\r A few days later I went to another salon to try and get them filled and filed down. I went to I think it's called Diva Nails in Edwardsville/Kingston (beside Planet Fitness). They took one look at my nails and said there was no way they could be repaired and look right, they had to take them completely off (which they didn't charge me for!) and start all over. I wish I had went to them from the start, my nails are absolutely PERFECT now, the best I've ever seen! They were just appalled that someone would send me out of a salon with my nails looking like that. I will never get them done at DejaVu again! Maybe if you just needed a quick, regular manicure it would be OK there, but do NOT go there for acrylics or fills, you will totally regret it. Have you ever walked into a hair salon and felt like you should have gotten ready for a night a the oscars first! you feel wierd and uncomfortable and wish you had a bag to cover the hair you hate to begin with! \r \r Well, Ive got the place for you! At Deja Vu I felt so at home! I walked in and no one looked a me funny, my sylist, Erin...who is awesome...made me feel so at home and most of all, i didnt feel stupid that i hated my hair because i screwed it up somewhere else!\r \r They are so knowledgeable! Erin really made me feel like i was in good hands and for good reason! I left with exactly what I wanted! \r \r try tem, try erin! you wont be disappointed! Ive been getting my hair done professionally for years..never have i had the experience like i did at dejavu..i was not intimidated by the staff or surroundings and everyone was down to earth and very professional.Maura, my stylist , was friendly and made wonderful suggestions on updating my look. The color is fabulous and the cut is terrific. I received many many compliments and for the first time my husband noticed and he loves it. Maura now has a client for life. Pros: Best color and cut ive ever had!! Cons: Didnt find her sooner more

Great salon, well educated staff. I was trying to be cheap and colored my hair myself., it turned out to be a very ugly brassy blonde. A co worker told me to go see Ranee. She fixed what I screwed up. I love my new color!!!! THANKS Deja vu Pros: Excellent service, great staff more

I am not one to go on these sites and gush about my experiences, but I was tested! I made an appointment at Deja Vu for color and was placed with Erin. We got to talking about different styles I had that I totally hated, including the one I walked in with, and how people put these reviews up about the salons they got them in. She was laughing about how weird it must be to see it for yourself on line, at which point, she told me that she knew I would love my hair and bet me that if i were to go on this site and write a review that she knew it would be good! She asked me that I leave my worries and my hair in her hands and to just trust her. Well, let me just say....\r \r I love my hair! My blonde is blonde...not orange! My highlights and low lights look so natural, and I most importantly don't look like a skunk with big stripes! I hate to admit when I'm wrong...but I do love my hair and I new I had to write a review! The salon is really fun and I had a great time there while I was getting a great look! Definately visit these girls! Pros: Fun environment, very layed back, really know what their customers want more

I had been going to the same upscale salon for a few years, and while the surroundings were really pretty, my hair looked dry and they weren't giving me what i wanted. \r \r I was shopping at the mall one day and stopped this women who had the most gorgeous hair! I asked her where she went, and she told me, ""DEJA VU! Go see Erin!""\r \r I called and made an appointment and I'm so happy I did!
