Deja Vu Smoke & Gift

I've been to just about all the smoke shops in the southbay but lately the only shop i ever visit is Deja Vu. It's more than just a tobacco store or a pipe shop. It has so many cool things to check out and the look inside the store is bright and cheerful. Just about every inch of the store is decorated. Tastfully done also. The prices are really reasonable and the inventory is huge but I would have to say that the best part of shopping here are the friendly girls that work there. more

I've been shopping here for several years now. They always have what i need and for the most part i got along with the employees. But Wow! They remodeled the place and it now looks and feels like what a head shop should look like. The employees are all woman now and they know their products. I recently went in to get a new handpipe and the girl spent 45 minutes with me and never complained. The shop is clean, organized, fully stocked and the employees are incredibly friendly. They always seem to have all the newest products and the prices are definetly the best around. I don't usually write reviews but i was so impressed that i had to add my impression of the store. more

ok so deja vu is a very well run store, they have a lot of merchandise and its all really good stuff.....but when it comes down to their glass its not the greatest of quality. in my opinion if u want to get a piece or a nice water pipe go to venice and look at roors. at deja vu they sell their non-labels for as much as roors and the quality is no where near as good. I actually give deja a lot of business, they are located near my house and have all the supplies a medical marijuana user needs. Well I read a bunch of reviews about some employee that works there, but i didn't experience any rudeness. The guy that helped me was really cool and answered my questions without conflict. I also went during a weekday which others complained about. Just wanted to set the record straight on that. I bought some goods there and was very satisfied. I will definitely be returning again. the afternoon guy on the weekdays seems like he's withdrawing on heroin, he is totally unenergetic and very hard to communicate with. everytime i see him there i simply walk out, he is the epitomy of unprofessional. i bought a detox from there and ended up not using the product...and have been calling for a week or more and am getting the same response everytime. which is call back when the owner is here...so i've finally filed a complaint with the Better Business Beurea. This store is the best smoke shop around. No question. I now travel from Hermosa beach to Lomita to shop. The prices, the quality, the quantity it has it all. If I'm low on cash they have plenty of cheap glass hand pipes and if I want a good quality american made piece they have a great selection. The inventory seems to get bigger every time I go there. I don't remember any rude employees there but then again I have always shopped there in the evening or on the weekend. My experience with the employees couldn't have been better. I really love shopping here but you definetly need to get rid of that morning/day guy during the week. Everyone else there is great. I'm writing this review to thank you for the great idea of posting the pictures of the customers filmed stealing stuff. After leaving your store I immediately started my own ""wall of shame"" in my auto parts store. I don't understand why the youth of this area thinks its cool to just walk into a store and take what ever they want to. I've owned stores in other areas and had virtually no theft but in this area it out of control. Thank you for the great idea. Pros: all positive, thumbs way up. I was blown away by the amount of great glass in this store. The prices were also great. It looks ordinary from the outside but the store is actually quite large with several rooms filled with water pipes, bubblers, handpipes etc. I think they have just about everything any smoker would need. I've definetly found my new primary smoke shop. That employee that was so rude is now gone and has been replaced by a couple of girls that are incredibly friendly and fun, Pros: quality, quantity and prices. more

I had heard of this store a few times from friends who highly recommended it. Who would think such a great store would be in the middle of Lomita. I loved their selection and was blown away by their prices. I've shoped at greeko's, smoke/skate/surf , sandbox and hermosa high but they dont compare when it comes to quality for price. If they don't have something they claim they will find it. This proved to be the case when I went in specifically looking for a small water pipe that had a retractable stem. The sales man asked the owner if he knew what I was talking about. He instantly answered yeah that's called an aqua pipe. He said he doesn't see them around much anymore but he knew where to get one. Two days later I went back to the shop and he had ten of them. Thats what I call service. However I think you have to talk with the owner to get such good service because all my friends claim the store is great but they all complain about an employees there. Pros: big inventory, interesting products, great prices and they bend over backwards for you Cons: One bad employee more
