I can't believe this guy is still practicing! I took my cat here a few years ago, because she was licking her foot to the point that there was no fur left. This vet gave a treatment, which made things worse, and when I called back, said the office was closing for the day and I should drop the cat off in the morning and he would check her when he got the chance. He said he would probably have to amputate her foot! I thought if this was that serious, I would try to see another vet immediately. Thankfully, I called Dr. Stan Weil. Even though he was almost through for the day, he said he would fit her in. He said the wrong antibiotic was being used, then gave me a simple solution to put on her foot to stop the itching. Within 24hrs. the swelling was gone, the redness gone in 48hrs. and the fur started growing back in 3 days. When I think that this butcher wanted to chop her foot off, it makes me sick to my stomach. more

dr de forge is being sued by myselff for being a bad vet/dentist did a proceed on my dog.s teeth that lasted 27 days I think a $1300 procedure should be permanent I rated him ---0 computer wouldnt accept rating lower 1 more

PET LOVER BEWARE 1) It is sad when your staff has to write comments on a website dedicated to patient reviews and add 5 star reviews to try to salvage his POOR reputation! 2) Anyone that would like to speak with me directly is encouraged to leave a comment with their email address and I will contact you ASAP 3) Mr.DeForge has incorrectly diagnosed my cat and his evaluation records are so SCARY, it seems he can't see well or confused my cat with someone Else's. 4) Mr.DeForge made false accusations that my cat and home were not being treated for fleas when in fact my cat is on Frontline and my home has been treated specifically with Fleabusters which is what Mr.DeForge himself recommended! 5) Mr.Deforge abruptly refused to speak with me & refused to continue the CARE of my CAT (NOT THAT I WOULD WANT HIM TO) after I pointed out that I was VERY CONCERNED because it seemed he MISDIAGNOSED my cat and I wanted to speak to him about it! 6) Mr.DeForge has only contacted me via his staff and email, which is only another example of his POOR bedside manner. He was $$$ paid for two visits and can't spend five minutes speaking with me directly! 7) Mr.Deforge has sent emails that point out that he reduced his exam fee to $10.00 for one year, which would be commendable if it didn't COMPROMISE THE CARE OF MY CAT!!!! *********************************************************************************** I have letters from Mr.DeForge who I will only refer to as that because he is a poor excuse for a Doctor, and I will GLADLY forward you these emails along with an explanation of my experience so you can see for yourself..... more

This man falsely advertises that he is a dental specialist. He performed unneeded surgery on my cat. He also performed medical procedures on my cat without my permission. Reported to the licensing board and has been sued at least 2x. RUN! more

Dr Deforge is perhaps the most sophisticated vet to handle animal's teeth problems in the country. This is because he is a dentist as well as a vet. His equipment is state of the art. He trains vets nationwide, but overall vets do not have the skill OR equiptment to do dog's and cat's teeth. Although most vets do offer teeth cleaning, don't think for a minute it's the same oral care given by a vet dentist like Dr Deforge. There only about 12 vet dentists in the country. Vets are not trained to care for teeth in vet school. Yes he is expensive, but he is one of a kind and his equiptment is equivalent to that used on people. He offers teeth cleaning, crowns, periodontal care, x rays, and other sophisticated procedures for animal oral care. I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else for routine cleanings or any other oral problem. more
