I had Deer Creek tow a tractor in last year for an electrical problem. When they brought it back, their method for strapping the tractor to the trailer?around the seat?had broken the seat off. ($110, on me.) It was an older seat and in need of replacement, so I didn't complain. When we pulled it off the trailer, I went to start it and sparks flew. The driver/owner said it was just a bad connection on the battery, just tighten it. I did, and 20 minutes into cutting my lawn it died. Same electrical problem. They told me on the phone that they wanted to make a few other repairs (unrelated, non-electrical), but I said, no just bring it back. Because of that exchange, they refused to pick the tractor up because I "hadn't given them enough time"?to tighten the battery cables, evidently. I've worked with lots of companies but have encountered very few who refuse to do remedial work when they're at fault. Deer Creek is one. I had heard from friends in the area that the owners were difficult people. Now I know why.
Pros: One of the few Ingersoll dealers in the region
Cons: Poor repair work, unwilling to take responsibility
