Don't bother taking a trip to Deer Acres 8/5/2006

My hubby and I wanted to do something different with my daughter so we decided to take her to Deer Acres. What a waste of money. It cost almost $10 each for us to get in (our daughter was free since she is 2) and the place is basically just a glorified playground. It is very small and filled with lots of playground equipment. It has a few animals to pet or feed, monkeys, deer, goats and puppies (?) There are also a few rides, a carousel, a train and a ferris wheel. The rides are $2 a ticket. We did not think that it was worth the money. We could take her to a better playground for free, or to the Saginaw Zoo, which has more animals and also a train ride and carousel, and the admission is only $5 there. more

fun place to visit with young kids 8/21/2005

Its a bit of a storybook, its a bit of a zoo, and they have deer. It certainly doesn't compare with Cedar Point, but it is close by, and is fun for the little ones-maybe up to age 6 or 7 would really enjoy it. School groups usually visit-you'll see the buses in the parking lot. Relaxing and nice. more
