Decathlon Sports Club-Summer

I have an 11 yr old boy and an 8 year old girl. Both are very active, very social kids who love the team spirit and all the energy that comes with sports and games and group activities. This camp is the PERFECT place for both. The camp is so well run, so well organized, extremely responsive. The staff are young, athletic, intelligent super responsible and creative student athletes (and a few young teachers). The directors have been there forever. THe camp has been around since 1981 and the founder/owner is there everyday and seems to know all the campers by name. Pretty amazing really. My kids have attended for the past two summers and can't wait to go back again this year. In fact, we are planning our entire summer, family vacations, etc. around the camp. Pros: Excellent staff, service, very responsive, extremely well-organized, really a lot of fun Cons: It's a bit of drive for us (from Hillsborough) but worth the effort more

The one thing that sets this camp apart from all the others is that the founders are completely involved with every aspect of the camp.....staff training, parent communication, pitching wiffle ball games, making camp-wide presentations...you name it. Most other camps hire onsite managers who simply do not have the dedication. We have sent our 4 children to this camp for over 10 consecutive summers. Great personal attention. I always knew my child would be safe and happy. Came home tired and happy everyday. Great caring staff. Owner is the founder and is still onsite and totally involved with the kids and camp everyday. Very well-organized and supervised. Lots of convenient and flexible enrollment options.
