Excellent, Old-fashioned Vets 7/3/2008

I cannot recommend this animal clinic highly enough. The vets are all wonderful people who truly love animals. They allow many of their resources to go to rescue efforts and get nothing in return. Their animal care is top notch, prompt and thorough. They will only administer necessary treatments and meds, because profit is not their main motivation. Animals are!\r \r I have been going there for years, and hope to for many years to come. They remind me of the good ol' country vet I grew up with. The receptionist can be a bit crabby, but her bark is worse than her bite.\r \r Trust me, you will love these folks. more

Taking care of a rescue dog 11/15/2007

I am a volunteer with Atlanta Humane, which doesn't enjoy the best relationships all over town. I rescued a mama ACD and a pup from the Floyd County pound. The pup is in the shelter, but the mama is still with me, as she was in pretty bad shape. My own dog goes to Emory Animal Hospital, but we had heard good things about Dearborn, so we took her there, as we understood that the clinic works with rescues and shelters. The doctor was very positive about her condition and performed the heart worm and intestinal worm tests right there in the exam. room. She looked pretty randy when we took her in, but he liked her and spoke highly of her being adopted out.\r \r The doctor treated her ears and her cough, and she has come back to her foster home and done very well. I would recommend this clinic highly. \r \r Everyone in town knows that their charges are as reasonable as they can be. GO TO DEARBORN! more

Dr. Ellington 1/5/2007

dr. Ellington is the best Dr. She always examinate my pets carefully and she doesn't mind taking long hours to finish her tasks. They've good Dr. but it's really busy sometimes. Call in and make an appointment will help. The price is reasonable e.g. around 170 for neutering, pain med and boarding etc. Unfortunately they don't open on sunday. If anything happens on sunday or emergency can be inconvenient. more

Most knowledgeable and caring vets 10/9/2006

I want everyone to know that Dearborne Animal Hospital is the place that you should take your pet. I don't think we could have found a cure for my dog without the experienced professionals at Dearborne. Pros: Knowledgeable, caring Cons: Fridays and Saturdays are usually packed more

I have been using Dearborn to care for my pets for almost 20 years and have been extremely satisfied. We have had to use other vets while stationed in other areas (military family) and they couldn't compare. The doctors at Dearborn are in the business because they care about animals, not to make a fortune. more

I have been depending on Dearborn for the past 30 years to take care of my babies, and they have. Doctor Jackson and Dr. Cely and Charlie are the best. They always have the pet's best interest in mind. I have had many doctors for me in the past 30 years, but only 1 vet! Pros: caring staff more

Dearborn is a good choice 4/30/2006

We have three animals, and I feel comfortable knowing tha Dearborn is giving me the best care for my babies at a very fair price. I never worry that they are making a ton of profit off of me, because that's not what they are all about--some of their vets travel long distances just to work in that specific practice. They do it for the love of animals. Some people complain about the lack of decor and the ""curt"" front desk service, but who cares? The receptionists are not operating on my kids. I and my family have been using Dearborn for as long as I can remember. They are always kind, friendly, quick and cheap!!!!!! Max (10), Sid (1.5), Sunny (1.5), Maggie (.5) (the dogs) and Salt (5) and Pepper (5) (the Cats) give dearborn 6 paws up! more
