I really had no idea what I wanted until they came out to veiw the area with me. After looking at a few pictures and hearing some different ideas, I was sold. Happy with these guys! 9/17/2012

They just got done with my front yard and it looks great. I needed a major clean up and overhall of overgrown shubs. All the new plantings look awesome and it just looks so much cleaner. We are very excited to start entertaining again. more

Avoid! 8/29/2012

Got sod, irrigation and patio installed. Happy with the irrigation, but the sod is lumpy because it wasn't rolled down with a weighted roller, and the patio looks like it was done by people who do not specialize in concrete. Spend your money elsewhere!!! more

June 2012, Dean's Sprinkler Service installed a sprinkler system at my home. The four-man crew, headed by Juan, was extremely professional, courteous, and answered all my questions. They arrived early and went straight to work for the next three days. They even brought soil and grass seed to fill in the cut marks. I personally recommend Dean's. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 6/27/2012

Expectations Were Met. I recieved a plan with everything I wanted as well as pricing. To my surprise, my yard looks exactly like the ideas I had in my mind. The designer listened to my ideas, put them down on paper, and the men created them in the yard. I couldn't ask for more from this company. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 6/21/2012

I want to start by saying that I do not normally write reviews. However, our experience with Dean's was so bad, that I felt compelled to do so. I would also like to point out that won $5,000 in free landscaping from them from the home and garden show in Denver and that is the only reason we went with them at all. The $5k is really where it started. Sounds like a great deal and that it was all easy street from there, right? Wrong. So we met with their landscape designer (Myles) and the first meeting went really well. We told him what we were looking for. Pretty simple. We wanted a quote for a stamped concrete patio, a lawn with a sprinkler system, edging and river rock along the fence, and a cedar fence with a run of 36'. He took notes and later scheduled a follow up meeting where he would show us a design mock-up and a quote. We got the quote and it was a bit more than we expected: $13,000. So we trimmed it down by about $7000. That's when things started to go a little downhill. E-mails were responded to more slowly. We finally met to pick out the colors for our patio and scheduled an install date. Just before the date, we changed our minds regarding the patio. We decided that we wanted regular concrete vs stamped, since the cost was the same for a larger patio. After some emails back and forth, they agreed to make the change without charging us a cancellation fee since weather had already made them cancel the original order anyway. So the installation day comes and the team gets to work on everything. They couldn't get their rototiller working, so they just raked some amendment on top of the clay. The sod was left with gaps, weeds and unadjusted sprinkler heads until I was able to get them to adjust them. The concrete should have been postponed since it was so unseasonably hot out, but they delivered and got to work anyway. At first, it looked OK going in, but after they were done and I watched it dry, my satisfaction continued to drop. It was uneven in color, in texture and in application. The stairs had lips at the kick. There were dents, and it wasn't all broomed the same. The color was different in spots because they had to keep watering parts of it to work. Since it??s not perfectly flat and has low spots, water pools on it near the steps. Emails were responded to in a few days when I would receive a very brief email (this was how it was from the moment the patio was laid. To get a timely response, I would have to have the main office track him down and call me). They came out to look at it and determined that they could rip it out or just knock $300 off of the bill. We agreed to $500, since after seeing how they deal with concrete, there was no chance that I was going to take a gamble that it would turn out worse. This is what happens when you have landscaping people (and not concrete professionals) install concrete. To say we are unhappy with the patio would be an understatement. This ended in May. We have since agree upon a final price, but have not yet received the final breakdown of the bill, despite having already paid. Also, because of the crazy rain we received, the soil underneath the patio sunk because it wasn't properly compacted, so I spent a few hours over the weekend packing it with concrete to fill in the void (which was 3+ inches in spots). I cannot in good conscience recommend them to anyone. We received decent service in the beginning and were excited, but we feel like after they realized they weren't going to make any money off of us (because they were so expensive on every aspect of the project) that they just didn't care, and we got their backup crew for the installation and that's why we've had the issues we have had. As it is, I'm very unhappy with the service and quality of installation. If I had to pay full price (throwing the $5000 out the window), I would be absolutely livid. more

Wonderful Service. Wonderful Service. 5/9/2012

Wonderful Service. Wonderful Service. Very happy with the guy that came and turned my sprinkler system on. This is a new house for me and have never seen the system work so I needed a little help. I can probably handle to turning on portion from here on out but it was nice to have someone come show me how my system worked. I'll definitely use this company if I have any big repairs or at the end of the season to winterize it. more

Big time service!. I was hesitant to do 2/25/2012

Big time service!. I was hesitant to do any landscaping work in the fall but it proved to be a good idea. The representative from Dean's (Will) had given me a few options to do some work now or hold off till spring. I decided to save some money and get it done now. I am so happy I did. Great people to work with and the guys worked really hard. The three reasons I like their service: Will answered all of my question about pros and cons of doing work in spring or fall, I could actually talk to the forman that was on site everyday they finished when they said they were going to. more

Good Snow Removal Service 1/3/2012

This company does my snow removal and has been very trustworthy. It has been hard for me to get someone to show up in the past few years so I tried Dean's. They always remove the snow before my company opens in the moring (per the contract). I will most likely contract them for my landscape maintanance next season as long as they keep up the good work. more

Deceptive Business Practices 10/15/2011

THIS COMPANY ENGAGES IN DECEPTIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES. I have an email from Erin at Dean's Sprinkler Service clearing stating that the cost for BOTH a sprinkler blowout and lawn aeration would be $68. The company only sent a service tech out that could perform the sprinkler blowout and charged $68 for this service alone. I was told it would be additional $55 for lawn aeration even though they quoted me $68 for both services in writing. Dean's Sprinkler clearly lied and ripped me off. I will never use this company again and recommend others from doing so as well. more

LOVE THIS COMPANY 8/17/2011

I am not the Do-It-Yourselfer, so I have been through quite a few sprinkler and landscaping companies over the years. This is the first company that I can honestly say impressed me. I was just waiting for them to fail and dissapoint me but it never happened. They have worked hard to get their customer service right! more

Won't stand behind their work 7/7/2011

Deans sprinkler installed my sprinklers in the early Fall. When I turned on my sprinklers in the Spring and found that they were not watering the grass appropriately, they wanted to bill me for making the correction. "The warranty is on the parts not the labor" they told me. In addition the rain sensor has never worked. More labor cost to fix that too. more

First Class Friendly Service! 8/23/2010

Just had some sprinkler repair done by Dean's... I've always been able to do most of the repairs on my own but I was stumped by this low pressure issue I was having. I just glanced through the yellow book and Dean's was the first company I called that had a LIVE person that answered the phone! When the tech came out he was very helpful! I had no idea that tree roots could actually pinch my line and cause the low pressue that I was experiencing!!! My system is woking better than ever! Thanks for the great service, I will tell all my friends about you! more

Dean's Sprinkler Svc is Quality Quality 6/26/2009

I'm very pleased with the service that I got from Dean's Sprinkler Service. The technician came out fixed a leak on that unit on the side of the house. I just moved into the house and needed some help figuring out the system so he showed me how to use the timer and winterize it myself. more

very disappointed 6/11/2009

They showed up at the wrong time and did unapproved work anyway and wrote us a bill for $100+ dollars. I'm still fighting the bill with little hope. People in the office are not cooperative at all! more

Customer Service Was Great 11/6/2008

Dean's installed a sprinkler system in my about two months ago and it has worked great. They just came out to winterize it and the technician was very nice. Any time I have ever called in, someone answered the phone and was very helpful. more
