Such fun 7/22/2006

I took my 20 month old son to Deanna Rose Farmstead today for the second time. It is absolutely wonderful. You can feed the goats, chickens, fish, etc. It is fun to watch the prairie dogs, the rabbits, and all of the other animals. They also have playgrounds for the kids as well as a snack bar. The admission is free. You must go there!!! more

Farm right in the middle of the city! 12/20/2005

We spend many days at Deanna Rose during the spring, fall and summer months. My kids love the farm animals and the playground. There is plenty to do there without spending a dime (although do give a donation... we need to keep this place running!). Fishing is a lot of fun... you'll be guaranteed a catch! My kids like to ride the horse drawn wagon as well. We've been for a friend's birthday party as well and it's a great deal! more

This is a wonderful place to take your family to have a great time enjoying the outdoors. Children will love to see and feed the horses, chickens, goats, pigs and little animals as well. Not to be confused with a zoo. It’s a great place for people to spend time outdoors with their families. Opened during the end of spring and throughout the summer. You can also enjoy a wagon ride that is available. Also has a small park with a pond where geese and ducks fly in and out. more

great family fun 10/13/2005

We take our kids there at least 1 time a year and that's for Halloween. It is open from spring through fall, but Halloween is always special there. They have a little petting zoo where the kids can pet and feed the animals, they offer waggon and hayrides, they have a vegetable garden and flower/butterfly garden, the kids can go inside an old schoolhouse (don't know how old but old) and they re-created an indian camp from the Kanza indians. For Halloween they always have a costume contest and the haunted barn is the best. really spooky! Best of all is the camp fire where the kids get to roast their own marshmellows. Great fun!!! more
