\r I remember when I went to this school. I was landing the airplane during a solo and my nose gear collapsed.... Robert Dean blamed me for the accident and said that the insurance that the school had guaranteed to me as part of the written contract would not cover the damage due to my negligence. He said if I didn't pay for the damages of the airplane he would stop my training and cancel my visa. I was in shock but I believed him since I wasn't familiar with how things worked in the United States. Now that I'm older I know that this unethical man scammed me. The insurance policy that is available to students at Dean International covers accidents regardless of who is at fault. But he and Wesley Brady took advantage of my ignorance and my family had to send him an additional two thousand five hundred dollars. I hope you remember me someday Robert Dean and Wesley and what you did to me..... sleep well at night knowing that you scammed me and several other students that had the same circumstance. This school is in the perfect example of fraud, cheats, and lies. The owner, Dean, doesn't care if you go out and fly his airplanes even if they're unsafe. His safety record is deplorable and the FAA knows it since they're constantly on his case. The assistant chief pilot Wesley and the owner Dean do everything they can to cut costs and increase their profits. That means not fixing things in the airplanes when they are needed. They also treat the foreign students like dirt. And if you're a female, don't be surprised to be sexually harassed by Wesley and the owner Dean. The constantly make jokes and make comments directly to the women there. The foreign women don't understand that this is against the law in this country and have to put up with it. And these 2 guys take advantage of the fact. This is a disgusting school in every aspect more

Highly unethical school. The owner simply wants to retire on your investment. His sole purpose is to increase is profit with no concern for the safety of the airplanes with the legality of his actions. Just go online and search of the NTSB website for all the crashes, it's about one every month. Not to mention, when I was there three agencies, FAA, NTSB, FBI from the government came for inspections, I can only mean that he's breaking multiple laws. more

Dean pilots die in Key West crash 3/16/2012

March 15, 2012. Two pilots renting from Dean crash into the water while departing Key West at night. The investigation revealed that they were just checked out by the company and approved for the flight. However, they were not night current and not qualified to fly under those circumstances. Just last week another Dean student crashed a C-152 on landing. in total, the company has had 16 accidents. While mostly pilot error, most of the pilots were trained at Dean and all were checked out and approved to fly by Dean Instructors. Makes you think, doesn't it? Don't be fooled by the fabricated positive reviews published by the company. See the list here and judge for your self:deaninternationalmiami.webs.c o m. Pros: null Cons: null more

Hello all aspiring Pilots 1/6/2012

We all know such a big field aviation is and the journey here is not at all hunky dory. It begins right from the start where, if we go wrong with our choices, we have to repent. Same was the case with me unfortunately. I started my training with a flying school in Texas in Addison Airport in Jan 2008. I was there over a year; I did my training with an instructor and he instructed me for 140 hours just for the reason that my short field landing was not perfect. I had no PPL and I ended up spending 20 lakh. I was all depressed about my training and went back to India. Then a friend told me about Dean International. I was still skeptical about my choice but had to give it a try. I entered Dean on 8th June 2011, and on 28th June 2011 with 5 hours of training and with immense support and impeccable training from my instructor, Mr. Wesley G Brady, I got my Private Pilot License. It all still seems unbelievable, but fortunately I owe this success only and only to Dean international and my instructor. The homely environment and lovely instructors like Mr. Brady just make it easy for the students to learn and achieve their dream. The instructors are very dedicated and they go all the way to give you the right kind of training required. I am now one of the fortunate students to have made the right choice to complete my CPL with Dean International and i know the goal is not too far! I think this is their old address. their new location is still in Tamiami Airport but I believe is 14150 ... more

I love this flight school <3 1/6/2012

If you have commercial pilot aspirations, the fact is that the airlines (and most smaller operators) do not put much emphasis on where you learned to fly, as long as you have the requisite ratings and experience when you apply. Obtaining flying jobs is about 50% of who you know and what kind of personality you have, and 49% how much experience you have. The other 1% depends on where you went to college or where you did your flight training. FACT. Pros: null Cons: null more
