The first thing I noticed when I entered was a man speaking very loudly on his cell phone and the staff appeared to have no problem with this. Not five minutes later when I asked my friend a question, I was chastised rudely by an older female staff member for being too loud. \r

The selection was mediocre at best. These are the types of books you can find just about anywhere, and for cheaper to boot. \r

My friend I came close to closing time, at about 5:30, and staff hounded us to leave. Working in retail, I can understand a few subtle hints to let a customer know that you are closing soon (turning off music, shutting one of the doors, etc.), but actually walking up to a customer at 5:50 and telling them, ""We close in ten minutes, please finish soon."" is just plain rude.\r

I was very unimpressed with both the service and the quality and quantity of product, and will never shop there again. I recommend trying the used book store on Rancho and Charleston (their name escapes me), or Mike's Used Books (they don't have too much selection, but they are very cheap and friendly) on Tropicana and Pecos.
Pros: good decoration, easy to manuever through shelving units, relatively well organized
Cons: rude staff, expensive
