Only interested in swindling you out of money 2/25/2012

Jose Colon is a liar! Do not hire him ever unless you have money you want to throw away. We hired him to do our kitchen. Not only did he do a sloppy job in some aspects but he ended up making us spend more money on different parts of the house, unnecessarily. We hired him back in July 2011, til today he has not completed the job. We call him every week asking him when he will come to finish the job. He doesn't respond, nor does he show up when he says he will. Instead he sends his son and others who barely speak english and they still don't complete the job! He asks for money even though the contract says he won't until the job is complete. LIAR! more

Contractor from Hell 9/4/2009

My experience with Mr Jose Colon of De La Rosa Construction was terrible. I originally asked him and 2 others for quotes to remodel my bathroom. He came back with the lowest quote. However, I decided to go with another contractor. But I asked him if he would like to repair my sidewalk instead. We agreed on a price of $1,800. To my surprised, he asked for money upfront. I refused. He came with 3 school kids and worked for 2 days. He also used sub-standard materials and he even ran out of those too. I decided to give him $1,500, hoping it would help him do a better job. I haven’t seen him since. Cons: He is only interested in swindling you out of your money more
