My husband and I got married June 2009. Defabis photography was OUTSTANDING! Both of us would recommend them to anybody. Joe and his staff were right on time. They were very good about getting pictures done in a timely manner, but were still able to capture every picture we wanted. Brandon and I chose to have our pictures done before the ceremony instead of after. We were very hesistant on this due to the chance it would take away the feelings when we saw each other during the ceremony. It definately did not take away those feelings and Joe Defabis was very good about getting the parents and wedding party out of the church so Brandon and I could have that moment when we saw eachother for the first time. We wanted every moment of the day captured and that is just what he did! We personally like the uniqueness he does in his poses for pictures instead of the typical posing! He has a VERY artistic eye! Joe and his staff were very personable with our guests! We had wonderful complements and have only heard great comments on our wedding pictures! A few years ago I was asked by my cousin to attend a bridal show at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis. At the time I knew marriage was in my future but since I was not engaged I was just there to tag along. While at the show a booth full of beautiful photography caught my eye. I fell in love instantly DeFabis Photography looked like something out of a Disney fairytale. A couple of years later Kenny popped the question and we began planning right away. We discussed the possibility of a destination wedding in Mexico. My greatest concern? That I may not have the option of Joe as our photographer if we had our wedding all the way in Mexico. I was nervous when I called to ask him but when he informed me that he would be happy to go I jumped up and down as if I found out I won the lottery. Aside from the person I was marrying the most important piece of our wedding to me was the photographer. We feel so blessed that Joe and his wife Terri came they made everything fun and they are the kindest people. Our favorite part? Getting into the ocean in our wedding attire and laughing as the waves crashed over us. We will never forget it. I knew Joe would do an amazing job but when I saw the prints for the first time tears of joy came to my eyes because he captured our day in an unimaginable way. The photos are absolutely breathtaking. Joe truly has a gift and now we are so happy that we have his art to showcase in our home and to share with our loved ones forever. more

They know where all the good pictures are to take at both our properties (French Lick Resort and West Baden Springs). Weddings are stressful but with Joe the day seemed to go very smoothly. I never had to question what I was supposed to be doing during a photo or what pose was appropriate.
