?This is the Best Place Ever!?\r \r Mom moved into Daystar Retirement Village 6 months ago. I can't say enough about her new home. Words that come to mind if I had to describe Daystar: Smiles, Compassion, Caring, Trust, Knowledge, Warmth & a Second Family. \r \r A Big Shout out to the Outstanding staff: In no particular order - Ed the Nurse, Wanda, Vanessa the Move Coordinator, Alan, Michelle, Peggy including all the receptionists, all the care staff, waitresses, waiter, kitchen staff, handyman & Maureen in the Beauty Shop!\r \r Thank you for everything! more

Enjoyed my tour of Daystar. Longevity of the staff was amazing. All of the staff were friendly and greeted us with a smile. It bis well maintained and clean, no strange smells. Washers and driers were a huge plus. Very home-like more

A very nice place to reside. 1/16/2010

I think the place is very charming. Some rooms are small, some bigger. However a big advantage to one of the buildings is each room has it's OWN laundry room, washer and dryer, kitchenette, and bathroom. Not often found in MOST retirement homes. My relative who is a resident there likes it there. The residents also have a weekly activities list that they can get involved in if they like. They also have a public computer area, an events room with a grand piano for concerts, and their own metro bus to transport residents where ever they like. There is a fairly large shopping area directly across the street. Christian Scientists are welcome and have weekly Bible lesson meetings. Transportation to and from Church is also available. more

Daystar Retirement Village 4/13/2009

Small rooms, small hallways, small staff. need i say more. Not quite what i expected when i arrived to look at the place. The place looks nice on the outside but could use some remodeling on the inside. I also didn't care for the neighborhood it was in. Very busy and transit. look elsewhere. more
