While this hotel doesn't exactly compare to a Trump hotel, for what I paid it was definitely worthwhile! The room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the price couldn't be beat. more

This hotel was clean and the staff was very courteous and helpful! I have the highest praise for the honesty and integrity of the staff as I was late for a plane and left an envelope with $640 in cash in my room. An honest employee found it for me and turned it into management who sent me a check for the cash and I got my money back. They could have simply kept the money and said they had not found it but they made my day with their honesty! I highly recommend this property! more

Absolutely one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! I stay in hotels about 15-20 weekends a year, so a lot! Very quiet too. Great staff. Have stayed here before and will recommend to friends in the future. more

This is the second time we have stayed here and were quite pleased both times. Mike was helpful at checkin and Colleen was helpful at checkout. Everything worked well and we particularly enjoyed the fact that the lights are bright enough to see what you are doing! Keep up the good work. The area is peaceful. There is plenty of room to maneuver in the parking lot. Nice place! more

This is the second time than I stayed at the Days Inn, in Clive, Iowa. Both visits were enjoyable. I didn't write a review the first time, but it was a pleasant experience too.\r I stayed in room 210, the room was very nice, clean, had a refrigerator, coffee maker, but no microwave. The only problem that I noticed was that there was no smoke detector. There was a smoke detector base, but no detector unit that plugs into the base. To be picky, the room could use more receptacles near the desk to plug in a computer or cell phone. There are two or more receptacles in other locations in the room, but not within the reach of the desk/table.\r \r When I was checking out, Colleen Y was at the desk. I told her about the smoke detector, she said she would report it to whoever is responsible for smoke detectors. I also told her about not having a microwave in my room. She said that a lot of the rooms have microwave ovens. If in the future my room doesn't have one, I should call the front desk and they will provide one.\r \r When I was walking to my room, I could hear loud highway traffic. But once in my room I could not hear the traffic. The best room are 228 to 250, or other rooms at that end of the building.\r \r The bottom line, this Days Inn is a good place to stay. more

Best Value in Des Moines 2/27/2011

This older property was a Ramada Inn until about a year ago when it got a facelift and a new corporate name as Days Inn. That was fine with us because we use the Wyndham rewards program to earn points on every stay. The staff of this property always exceed our expectations for friendliness and service, and nearly always meet our every need and request. While some of the public areas are ""well-worn,"" the king beds are new and luxurious, the guest rooms are clean, and there is a pleasant room scent: no ""old motel smell!"" You can look around for a long time before you will find a better value in greater Des Moines. more
