I always look at reviews before almost any purchase, but I rarely rate my own experiences. This is an excellent place to start. My wife and I were looking to go to Cedar Point for a fun 2-day trip. If you are familiar with Sandusky, Ohio and the surrounding hotels, in general, they are totally dated and overpriced.\r

We wanted to stay out of the hustle and bustle and try and find a clean place for a reasonable price. This Days Inn delivered! It has an EXCELLENT location for commuting to Cedar Point (about a 25 minute drive down Route 2). This is a very smooth drive if you plan on getting up early so you can beat the crowds. The route 2 exit is located only 1/4 mile down from the hotel and is a straight shot.\r

Breakfast was included and it was clean but VERY light and basic. My only gripe was the coffee was all gone when I needed a cup in the morning, so I drove down the street to McDonald's. The hotel offered cold cereals, a few muffins, pastries, waffles (pre-made) and juice. Not bad, but I recommend getting a better breakfast right next door at Denny's where I was told by the front desk you can get 15% off by staying there. In addition, there is the McDonald's I mentioned earlier and a Dunkin Doughnuts within walking distance.\r

We priced this hotel on a lot of travel sites like Priceline, Orbitz and Hotels.com, but the best price was directly through the days inn website. We only paid $55 a night for a king size, non-smoking room with a fridge, microwave and cable. The staff was VERY friendly. This is a family run place and it SHOWS.\r

The most important thing more than price to me and my wife was how clean it was. It was truly spotless and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. It made our trip to Cedar Point a great time and the location and promoxity to surrounding restaurants was an added bonus.
