the service was wonderful, our rooms were always tended to, our only complaint would be the way they do their payment. more

The service is good at this Days Inn. Front desk staff, management, and the house keepers are friendly and always try to help. The rooms are fine for this level of motel. I would rate the beds to be above average. The rooms are clean. Overall very satisfied. more

This is the cleanest, nicest Day's Inn ever! However, we only stayed one night, and my card was charged for 2 nights. I've tried to reach them by phone today, but no-one answers the phone. more

This Days Inn is very close to my Ohio hometown therefore, I frequent the hotel every 4 months or so while visiting my family. Its location is so ideal; near both I-90 and I-80 (the OH turnpike). There are plenty of dining options minutes from your room's door. When my husband and I stay for longer than 3 days and there is no need to clean our room, the staff definitely respects our wishes. If there is every anything that we do need from the staff, they are always there to assist and with a smile! more

It would have been nice if the heater would have had a better temp control. I had to turn it off ,at night ,to keep the room from becoming too hot and so the room was quite frigid by about 4am. Also, it would have been nice to have an extra blanket in the room. Other than that, it was a nice stay. more

I always look at reviews before almost any purchase, but I rarely rate my own experiences. This is an excellent place to start. My wife and I were looking to go to Cedar Point for a fun 2-day trip. If you are familiar with Sandusky, Ohio and the surrounding hotels, in general, they are totally dated and overpriced.\r \r We wanted to stay out of the hustle and bustle and try and find a clean place for a reasonable price. This Days Inn delivered! It has an EXCELLENT location for commuting to Cedar Point (about a 25 minute drive down Route 2). This is a very smooth drive if you plan on getting up early so you can beat the crowds. The route 2 exit is located only 1/4 mile down from the hotel and is a straight shot.\r \r Breakfast was included and it was clean but VERY light and basic. My only gripe was the coffee was all gone when I needed a cup in the morning, so I drove down the street to McDonald's. The hotel offered cold cereals, a few muffins, pastries, waffles (pre-made) and juice. Not bad, but I recommend getting a better breakfast right next door at Denny's where I was told by the front desk you can get 15% off by staying there. In addition, there is the McDonald's I mentioned earlier and a Dunkin Doughnuts within walking distance.\r \r We priced this hotel on a lot of travel sites like Priceline, Orbitz and Hotels.com, but the best price was directly through the days inn website. We only paid $55 a night for a king size, non-smoking room with a fridge, microwave and cable. The staff was VERY friendly. This is a family run place and it SHOWS.\r \r The most important thing more than price to me and my wife was how clean it was. It was truly spotless and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. It made our trip to Cedar Point a great time and the location and promoxity to surrounding restaurants was an added bonus. more

We were on our way Virginia to celebrate Christmas with our Virginia grandchildren and also their parents. The blizzard caught up with us. Thanks to two different truck drivers at the service plaza 140, we got off immediately and called the Days Inn in Amherst. They had a room available. Just as we entered our room the national sign for an emergency came on. It took us awhile to reailze the sound was coming from our cellphone.\r That warm cosy room looked like a castle to us. Since it was the day after Christmas we were equipped with many goodies. Thanks to your inroom micro, refrig and coffee pot we had a very nice meal and didn't have to brave the storm anymore. The next morning we had a wonderful breakfast at the Denny's. more

I have stayed many, many times at this property in the last several years - as I have had multiple family issues to deal in the area. This is a solid - clean - no-frills hotel. The staff is MORE than helpful and friendly. The location is very convenient to the lake, shopping, the Ohio Turnpike, and other major state routes.\r \r I am usually alone when I am traveling there and this hotel has an absolutely one of the best perks going! Although it is a typical property with several stand-alone buildings and outside room entrances - they also have several rooms in which you must go through the lobby to enter your room. This adds so much security and peace-of-mind to your comings and goings it would be worth additional cost - though there is none. I always request the inside room when I make my reservations. more

I chose the days inn because it is right down from our parents house and there was no room at mom's. We called the Days inn and the gentleman on the night shift was a very nice person. We needed a room close to the front. He gave us a great rate that didn't break the bank. I really liked the decorations. I felt right at home. When it came to breakfast in the morning, The coffee was hot, we had a choice of three different types of cereal, oatmeal, juice, bagels, waffles, danish and muffins. I think that it was a great breakfast and it was good to hear that it came with the room. With the economic times today, that saved us money. I just wanted to say it was an awsome experience. I also want to say thanks for making us feel at home. Take a bow, Thank you; Anthony, Sonia, Tara, Ruby from housekeeping, the other two housekeeping staff, Jyoti and the rest of the staff whom we may or may not have bumped into. I like to make note of those whom made this trip as simple as possible. Thanks guys more

We had a good experience in staying at this hotel. It was nothing out of the ordinary, but very comfortable. The only thing that was wrong was the fact that we couldn't obtain any ice from the machine but that was not a major issue. more
