A friend and I decided to go out saturday night to grab a nice meal and we decided on Davy's, a popular and well known restaurant for many years in this city.Soon after we were called for our table. I ordered a cup of clam chowder, my fried calimari as appetizers. Both were wonderful. The chowder was flavorful, full of diced clams and potato in a light creamy broth and just the right seasonings. My friend enjoyed her order of calimari saying they were tender and tasty. My entree of tenderloin tips and garlic shrimp was fabulous, cooked to perfection and I chose to have it served with linguini in a garlic butter sauce. It was GR8 !! My friend however chose the lobster newburg at market price and was very disappointed. She found the approx. 5oz. of lobster blanketed by the very tasty newburg sauce to be very tough and rubbery. It was served with two small baked potatoes.I assume they were out of larger ones, and she opted not to have a vegetable. The hostess came by and informed us that she was sorry but the lobster had been cooked fresh that very day.
