My husband noticed and cyst on my back and so I went to Uptown Dermatology to see what it was. I got it removed right there in the office and tested for everything! It came back negative for any bad stuff and I am so happy!! more

unless you are a certified dermatologist who just needs a prescription this place will be of next to no help. they dont even bother with customers, dont tell you options and arent willing to listen to any questions. they seem to be on an INCREDIBLY tight schedule (hence the largely on time appointments) the doctor doesn't actually have time to explain anything or answer any questions. If you have a concern with your skin and don't know what it is go somewhere that will try to figure it out. IF you already know exactly what your issue is and just need a prescription and know exactly which prescription you want, then you can go to this place, but they are basically incapable of (or perhaps just unwilling to) doing more than that. check out other dermatologists! more

This clinic has absolutley NO RESPECT for Patient Privacy. They have recentley changed their policy & now insist on other people being in the exam room with you & the ""doctor"" Actually i went to this clinic for 3 years & never saw any licensed M.D. But I can not recommend this clinic to anyone because of their lack of respect for your privacy. more

Dr. Davis, Nadine Miller, Sammy and Chad have been such an amazing staff in all the times I have been to Uptown Dermatology! Dr. Davis is highly educated, detailed and kind! She and Nadine have always known the best treatment needed and you can tell they genuinely care for your skin needs. Both medically and cosmetically. I trust them completly! I have sent my family members to them and will continue to do so with my friends! Don't waste your time and money on the others and feel confident here for all your skin needs! more

Like the previous poster, I have struggled with acne for years. Being in my 30s I was fed up with breaking out! I have seen numerous dermatologists in the past and I have never had the results that I had from Dr. Nadine Miller. She worked with me to find the perfect combination of medications. Like everything, it took awhile for everything to work, but once it did the results were astonishing. Nadine was fabulous and she genuinely cared about helping me get clear skin! The front desk staff were always pleasent and helpful as well. Thank you. more

I had been plagued by chronic cystic acne since 9th grade--I was treated by Becky White, her nurse Jill and the Laser diva, Joan. I never expected to have Brad Pitt skin, but I have the best skin I've had in my life and I haven't had a cyst for almost three years. Sometimes our expectations and hopes get bigger than what can be real and possible, but for me this was a dream come true. These people really know their business and they are wonderful. I lived in Uptown and had seen Dr. Davis on television. I went to her with a traumatic injury I had suffered due to a bicycle crash. I also had a separate dry skin problem around my nose for the past 11 years, since I was 15 years old. My insurance was almost going to run out because I was leaving my job as working with a bomb explosive team to do something a little less dangerous because I got married recently. Dr. Davis was quick to diagnose my skin rash as Sebborheic dermatitis and prescribed me a medication that took the redness away. This is after I had seen many doctors who told me general things like eczema or just dry skin was the problem. She also took her time to write down shampoos I could use to combat the problem. She was very warm and friendly, and she told me the wound on my face would probably heal. I was worried if it didn't that my insurance would be running out by the end of the month. She told me not to worry. Well the wound did not heal and I called to see if I could get in to have her do the surgery. Doctor Davis added my appointment to her schedule on a day she was doing surgery even though she didn't have to. I will be forever grateful for this. The surgery was a success, and she did such an awesome job. I was so confident and calmed by her presence that I even watched. Unless you have great insurance or a money tree, don't do here. I asked the technician how much my allergy test was going to cost. She told me $200-300. As you can imagine, my jaw nearly fell to the floor when I received a bill for over $900. The test was basically inconclusive. Did I mention that administering the test equated to slapping a patch of stickers on my back? Not too labor-intensive... I called the billing office (several times), wrote a letter and haven't hear anything back. Gee, yet another example of our messed up health care. Cons: MAJOR $$$$ more

I must say that I was very impressed with Uptown Dermatology & SkinSpa. I have been to 3 different dermatologists (this one being the 4th) and have never received the thoroughness in the exam that I did here. Not to mention that getting my appointment was quick and easy. The physician actually spent time with me and I didn't feel like a number as i did in previous derm clinics. I would recommend this clinic to those who seek being taken well care of. The staff were friendly and appeared to care about my progress. However, at one point I went in for what could have been a final treatment and she did not do anything because she thought it was ok. My insurance did not cover that visit and it turned out that it was not completely healed. So I ended up paying a lot for her to do nothing and the problem is still not fixed. I called the office and they offerd some kind of discount which never came through. This place is completely incompetent. They have completely screwed up my skin treatments, plus they have cost me too much time and money. Not only is the staff unable to perform their jobs but the place is just ugly. The couches in the waiting area have huge holes in the middle of them. They don't return phone calls. There must be a lot of turn over because I see a different doctor at every appointment. This seems to make it even harder for them get a handle on how to treat me. Stay away - I wish I had.
