Davis Food Co-op

The Davis Food Co-Op is one of the places I go to get my groceries and food, along with the Davis Farmer's Market, the Nugget, and Safeway. The Co-Op has the best selection in Davis for natural/organic foods, and a great premium meat section (I get my Diestel Thanksgiving turkeys here every year). My favorite part of the Co-op is the bulk food section, where prices are reasonable and I can get everything from quinoa to flaxseed to oat bran to free trade shade grown coffees to any type of spice imaginable. As someone who loves to cook, the Davis Food Co-Op is a wonderful place. more

The Davis Co-op is always a great place to shop. A lot of times I have found items to be cheaper than at Safeway or even Nugget. I love the variety they have to offer and the bulk food section is amazing. You choose how much flour, or seeds, or spices you want. The Co-op is like a local trader joes. I also enjoy the local brands that they sell. more

This place, unique only to Davis, CA, is the best to get the best of out the world in Davis, CA. What I mean by that is that Davis Food Co-op sells items from throughout the world (including lots of Asian and Indian products), lots of different spices, and lots of organic food/grocery items. This is the place to get the freshest food items. My friends often complain about how there is a lack of diversity in the food/grocery selection in Davis, but Davis Food Co-op satiates our need for diversity. Much like a bazaar, Davis Food Co-op provides us with foods from around the world, in contrast to regular grocery-stores. I highly recommend this place if you want fresh, and usually organic groceries OR ethnic/world food items AND are in the Davis Area. This place rocks! more

I love the Davis Co-op. It feels like it's been there forever and they have all kinds of interesting and healthy foods that you just won't see at Safeway. They have a lot of grains, cereals, and even tofu in bulk, which is awesome. Some foods can be a bit pricey when compared to other stores, so be careful. more

Davis’original food coop has grown over the past 20 years into a large store. A great place to get all your spices and grains in bulk, to find unique health food store products, a nice selection of cheeses and other specialty items. Somewhat pricey on staple name brand products (get your cheerios somewhere else), but a selection of hard to find items you wont find at any other grocery store. more
