Dr. Hedrick, is a real life Saint-for all animals-Especially every animal brought into his practice.\r \r I am compelled to write my thoughts about Dr. Hedrick his staff and everything about him.\r \r Yes- his office is busy- YET NO animal goes untreated there- they are the BEST. His Staff is the BEST-\r if you think the prices there are too high? or you don't get seen fast enough? Who does price shopping for their pet?\r Furthermore? His prices are nothing compared to the other Vet office I went to before I found Dr. Hedrick. PLUS- that Dr. was like a cold fish- he did not really care. My dog was just a dog to him.\r Then Please go to another Vet office- \r Not only will you find ALLOT of problems at the others- \r YOU are doing your pet the worst injustice ever.....\r and you will go back to Dr. Hedrick's office- with a whole different appreciation.\r How can you put a price on a Dr. that absolutely CARES about your animal. I do not know when Dr. Hedrick has time to eat or sleep- because he is 100% committed to his practice. His staff? They hang in there-right beside him-never a grumble or gripe did I ever hear and I was there \r ALLOT. He did EVERYTHING he could to keep my dog Hercules alive as long as he could- HE WAS there for me and with me when Hercules died....and took care of my wishes after his death-without me having to explain anything- I told him what I wanted done-and HE did it just as I wished and I will always be GRATEFUL to Dr. Hedrick and his staff!\r If ANYONE can find a Vet Dr to answer you in the middle of the night? or answer you at all? and come running to help your pet??? you need to type the name of the Dr. you know who does this?!\r Because there is no other but Dr. Greg Hedrick at Davidson Animal Hospital\r \r PS To the lady whose cat was having trouble breathing-and did not feel she was taken care of?or anyone that feels that way while in his waiting room- All you have to do is go to the desk and tell them- my Animal is in distress- please let him go back right now? Don't scream at them-just make them aware-There are busy -yet they do and WILL take care of everyone that walks in his office,\r \r PQ more

Total disbelief is what I am in right now-I know i dont see someone on here wrote a negative review on DR.Hedrick. How could you do that? You must be out of your mind or were at another office and forgot where you were-since you were at a hole in the wall.\r There is no way what you wrote is true-not possible. If I had to guess you must be one of these people who are unhappy with everyone - and like writing negative reviews-because you yourself are a negative person. By the looks of your picture I can see why. You are fat and ugly.\r You need to find another hobby to fill your time besides eat doughnuts while u write negative reviews- because noone has the right to say anything negative about dr. Hedrick or his staff-my whole family takes their animals there-n fact everyone I work with does too.\r You have some nerve is all I have to say. yes-please do go to another vet. You don't deserve Dr. Hedrick or his time. I feel sorry for your pet. If you even have one and really were at his office. more

For those of you who aren't happy with Dr.Hedrick and his staff then go to another vet! I have been to other vets and his cost are very comparable to other local vets.If you have an emergency situation use your head.....go to a emergency facility.Dr. Hedrick does his very best to see all patients and gives 200 percent,keep in mind if your looking for Jesus then your probably at the wrong facility .Dr Hedrick is a wonderful vet and his staff are one of the hardest working group of people I know but they are HUMAN! If I'm not happy with a diagnosis from Hedrick then I would get a second opinion,the same if I wasn't happy with my own Doctors opinion.Sometimes it gets really hectic at his office and I have left and went back on another day because he was tied up with a unexpected emergency and after all .......the world doesn't revolve around you or me.with that being said,I am very grateful for Dr. Hedrick and his wonderful staff. more

I will NEVER go to this vet again! I was the ONLY person in the vet with my VERY sick cat. My cat could not breathe and was visibly in distress. We waited over 4 hours to be seen. People who came in after me were taken back and treated before I was even called to have my cat looked at. Finally got my cat a round of steroid shots. Costed well over $200. I was told to bring her back the following day for a second round. I waited again well over 3 hours. After being told via phone and in person that I would not be charged for the second visit, I was given a whopping $300 charge for ""Misc fees"". Really? After being told that I wouldn't be charged? Not to mention, I also have a dog that has been taken there. He has had 4 heartworm checks since he was born in January. The vet states that they will not give him a heartworm prevention pill until he has a check... Hello? He's had 4! Not to mention, while sitting in the room, you can see back where they do surgery on the animals. None of the personnel are wearing gloves and there are nurses running in and out of the room to grab supplies while the poor dog is tied to the table and they are all having a little pow-wow around it. Unacceptable! Lastly, I asked for an itemized bill so that I could inform a new, competent vet of what they had treated my animals with. The girl working the desk proceeded to get huffy and talk loudly and in a rude distasteful manner about me around the corner, still in earshot. She will never have to worry about giving me an itemized bill again! Or getting my services, for that matter! So unprofessional there! Save your pet and yourself the hassle of this hole in the wall. more

Dr. Hedrick is the best vet I have come across in a very long time. I have 4 dogs, 3 cats and a ferret partially owning my hosue, and after tonight... I will never take them anywhere else. He has always been kind and attentive to my animals and you can't find better prices. He is most defiantly not that vet that comes in says 2 things to you and on to the next one. He is busy, but that is just a sign of how awesome he is, and he still manages to talk to you and give you personal time and attention. My German Shepherd was spayed at a different vet on Tuesday(4 days ago).(HUGE mistake) Tonight, as I let her out of her crate to go potty, her incision came open. Her insides were hanging out. This is at 9:30PM. I called Dr. Hedrick and was told to come in asap. He got her into surgery to fix her within 15 mins. He took great care of her and didn't charge me more than was completely reasonable, considering the time of night, plus surgery, and an overnight stay. If you are looking for a kind, attentive vet - go see Dr Hedrick at Davidson Animal Hospital in Lexington NC. You won't find better and you won't be disappointed. more

I work out of town on occasion. I left my dog, Sparky, with Davidson Animal Hospital for one week and returned to find the folds in his face severely infected and irritated. I am extremely upset with Dr. Hedrick because of his lack of professionalism and attention given to my dog! \r \r When I asked when the symptoms occurred, he was not able to tell me anything other than it came up quickly and he did not see it over the weekend. What was even more shocking is that Dr. Hedrick mentioned that I needed to test my dog for rabies!!!! Where would my healthy dog that I have had for almost a year contract rabies when the only place he has been is to Dr. Hedrick???? Then, Dr. Hedrick informed me that the breakout could be a result of the extreme heat. Since Sparky is a pug, he shouldn't be out in the extreme heat, so how did this happen? Was my pug exposed to extreme heat that could have resulted in a heat stroke???\r \r To add insult to injury, Dr. Hedrick slapped me with a $266.50 bill for all of Sparky's ailments! Needless to say, he didn't try any type of treatment until I was there to say that I would pay the additional money! It's a scam . . . damage the dog and have the customer pay for the injury. \r \r I've seen some of the posts here that praise Dr. Hedrick and Davidson Animal Hospital. My experience with him could have killed my family's pet. Through all of the accolades, a picture is worth a thousand words and my Sparky's face tells you how this veterinarian cares for pets! This is a first class Animal hospital. My Boxer was in a bad accident at 9:00 pm We called and they were waiting when we got there. The dog required surgery and Dr. Hedrick did a beautiful job . The fee was much less than expectected for such excellent work . My dog is recovering and my heart felt thanks goes to Dr Hedrick and his staff. Pros: All I can say is great more
