David Schleimer, DMD

Dr. Schleimer has provided orthodontic care for myself and my siblings for over 15 years. He is not only an excellent orthodontist, but he is also a very caring person. My family was not blessed in the dental department but Dr. Schleimer has given each one of us perfect smiles! Over the years he has become a great family friend. The clinic is beautifully decorated with lovely music playing and views overlooking Las Trampas. The entire staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. After reading this review; understand everyone is entitled to their opionion. Although, one tends to think this was written out of an angry distortion of facts. I know Dr. Schleimer to be a fair and honest doctor; who never over sells treatment. If you don't need treatment he will tell you so. The focus on $--as being a decision of an the issue of seeking treatment makes one wonder if this person is a shopper. This reivew from il35 almost boarders on defamation of character. I myself have undergone medical treatment of a different nature and the gathering of additional information was needed to necessite a thorough diagnosis; at times is necessary for the best course of receiving the optimum treatment. Also, the method of financial arrangement of payment is offered in 3 different options to make treatment financial feasible. Dr. Schleimer is willing to work with you and has mentioned it's not about the money. As for the implication of the staff being unprofessional is definitely misleading. Everyone in the staff interacts with a warm, friendly and respectful manner. Another orthodontist told me that Dr. Schleimer treatment plan includes expensive options that I most likely not need. I requested a second appointment with Dr Schleimer; and a member of his staff called me just 5 minutes before the appointment, when I was already driving to the appointment, to tell me that the doctor can't see me unless I make additional x-rays at their lab (costs only 300 bucks). No one told me about additional X-rays when I made the appointment, instead I get a call 5 minutes before. Rude and unprofessional! So, the doc *can* suggest that I have two implants and a surgery on top of his service, expecting $6000+ for his service at first appointment, but he can't talk to me for the second time unless I pay him $300 upfront.
