Outstanding Band!!!! When planning our wedding we knew that the band was our top priority. After listening to several options it was very clear that David Rothstein was the choice for us. We booked the 11 piece orchestra and David took care of the rest. Our dance floor was packed all night and David was full of surprises. The band interacted with our guests and kept the vibe lively and upbeat. People went WILD when the horns came out onto the dance floor, just another bonus. We are huge Bears fans so David had Mike Ditka send us a special video message which was played during dinner- a fantastic surprise. David is a true professional and expert. We did not worry about a thing throughout the entire evening as David made sure that all of our guests enjoyed themselves. Everyone that I have talked to since our wedding on 12-8-12 has not stopped complimenting DRM. They are truly AMAZING and we cannot thank him enough for making our wedding a huge success!! more

We want to thank DRM for helping us plan and accomplish the wedding of our dreams. We were first introduced to David Rothstein Music at my brother-in-law's wedding back in 2007. At their wedding we were really impressed with how David created a great party atmosphere and really kept the dance floor packed throughout the night. Fast forward to our engagement and we immediately knew that we wanted the David Rothstein band to perform at our wedding. We decided to book his full-11 piece orchestra and we were definitely blown away by the talent and professionalism of his musicians. From start to finish, we were very impressed with how David took the time to get to know us and how helpful he was in planning the ceremony and all of the music. For our ceremony, we had a trio and it was beautiful; it really set the entire mood of the ceremony. Later in the evening, we were shocked when we walked into the reception hall and the band stands were decorated with up lighting. It really added to the atmosphere and it was an added detail that I really appreciated and enjoyed. David always went above and beyond and I really appreciated that he took time to personalize our experience. He knew that we love the show Arrested Development so he actually got us a show poster and had all our guests sign it! We really enjoyed it and can't wait to hang it in our house. Throughout our reception David kept the dance floor packed and we had an amazing time! I am still getting compliments from our guests saying that it was the best wedding that they ever attended. We highly recommend David Rothstein Music, and we are very happy that they played at our wedding! more

Simply The Best! We just wanted to thank David Rothstein Music for an amazing wedding. From the preparation before the big day, all the help and advice, and especially the music during the ceremony, cocktail, and reception; everything was simply amazing. David and his colleagues have made this entire process easy and worry free; we couldn’t be happier with everything. All our guests were on the dance floor all night, even those that normally don’t dance much. We would highly recommend DRM to anyone; you will not regret this decision. more

My fiance and I have attended several weddings this year, but one wedding truly stands out. Our friends who hired this band threw the most memorable event BY FAR. Three months later, we still refer to that night as the best wedding we have ever attended. As soon as we entered the reception area, the band set the tone for the evening. The dance floor was packed after the salad course! There was a fabulous variety of music, and the energy remained upbeat the entire evening. All the guests literally shouted, ""ONE MORE SONG. ONE MORE SONG,"" at the end of the evening. The next morning we relived the whole event! I am hoping to hire the band for my own wedding! David is incredibly genuine...not the cheesy wedding band leader you may picture. My fiance and I met with him last night and he really made us feel at ease. Using this band would feel like reassurance, we KNOW the evening would be UNBELIEVABLE! more

OUTSTANDING!!!! 1/14/2012

My husband and I got married in September at the Intercontinental Hotel and The David Rothstein Band played at our cocktail hour and reception. My dad and I researched other bands, and THIS WAS THE BAND TO HAVE. We are still hearing from all the guests at our wedding that they had never seen so many people at a wedding on the dance floor, and we have this band to thank. David kept everything in order, and on time. He added many special touches that kept my husband and our guest surprised all night. The interaction between the band, David and every guest there was incredible. Even my 86 year old grandmother was dancing the night away. This band is worth every penny, and we have them to thank for an incredible reception. Every instrument, singer, and musician is incredibly talented and on top of it they all seem to be having a blast. One of the best decisions we made for our wedding. more

WELL WORTH IT!!! 12/27/2011

The David Rothstein Band played at our wedding at the Intercontinental Chicago a few weeks ago, and they were absolutely magnificent! David was a brilliant emcee and leader. We, including our friends and family, had a fantastic time all throughout our wedding. The transitions from our ceremony to the cocktail hour to dinner were flawless. The classical trio captured the solemnity of our wedding ceremony. The jazz trio during cocktail hour provided a great start to an awesome dinner party with their 10-piece orchestra. No matter what age bracket we belonged to, no matter what religion we believed in, no matter what our sexual orientations were, we were all together on the dance floor dancing the night away. It was a wonderful world. We could not have asked for a more perfect evening. The music and the energy that David and his band had, provided us with a lot of love, fun, and beautiful memories: a truly unforgettable evening. We specifically enjoyed it when one of the singers came on to the dance floor and held the microphone out for certain individuals to sing, which eventually ended up to the whole dance floor singing the song. We also enjoyed the dance game that David led where everybody participated. We saw everybody smiling and doing their moves. It was super fun and very touching to see all our loved ones enjoying themselves with the music. A lot of our guests called, texted, and emailed us and our parents to let us know that ours was the best wedding they’ve attended. Having David Rothstein Band play at our wedding was definitely one of the best choices we’ve made. We hope anyone reviewing this will make the same decision we made and choose the David Rothstein Band. We highly recommend them. more

Fabulous Wedding Band 11/10/2011

Hiring a band for your wedding over a DJ is worth the cost. David and his band played at our wedding on 9-10-11 at the Intercontinental, the dance floor was packed all night. Everyone raved about Frank Sinatra. Everything was extremely personable and we loved the fact that the entire band got involved with all the guests. We had people calling us the next day raving about the band, it sets the mood for the entire night. People of all ages hit the dance floor all night and didn't want to stop. David and his band are very accomodating and easy to work with, I would highly recommend this band to anyone, it'll make your wedding a night you'll never forget!!! more

LOVED OUR BAND 9/29/2011

OK...... So I know hiring a band for a wedding or event is expensive and some of you are wondering if it is worth it. Well I can tell you if you hire this band IT IS!!!!!! David and his band played at our wedding July 30th and they were suberb! My Dad and I decided we were going to sing a duet together instead of doing a father daughter dance and David was so accomodating. They learned the somg and played it perfectly when my Dad and I sang. It was the hit of the party! David was always super quick to answer any questions or concerns I had and was very kind. The dance floor was packed all night and we loved the fact that the entire band got involved with all the guests. My uncle is in a band himself and he went on & on about how great my band was and that he was very impressed. So many of my guests keep telling me that my wedding was truly the best they have attended and believe me David has everything to do with this :) more

HIRE THIS BAND 9/21/2011

Stop searching. Stop pricing other bands. Stop riding the fence. You know you want a band at your wedding, and this is band to have! David and his band played our wedding on 8/13/11 in Schiller Park and brought the house down!! EVERYONE had an amazing time. EVERYONE was on the dance floor. EVERYONE was raving about the band. Several people went so far as to tell us it was the BEST wedding they had ever been to. Not only did they play the kind of music we wanted to hear, they learned a few traditional Irish songs that we wanted our families to dance to. David even added a few personal touches for us that made the night even more memorable. We made the right decision when we went with DRM, and you should too. Your search is over...HIRE THIS BAND!! more

Best band ever 9/13/2011

I am soooo happy that I had David Rothstein and his band as my wedding band. They promised they would get everyone on the dance floor, and they definitely delivered. They were able to personalize our wedding for us, by playing everything that we asked, ranging from Klezmer music, to oldies, to modern music. They even had a few amazing surprises for us-including a gift of two aprons that they asked our guests to sign for us. I wasn't the only one impressed by the band-- all of our guests were raving about the band, and saying what an amazing job they did. I highly recommend this band for any celebration!! more

PROFESSIONALS WHO ROCK 9/12/2011

Throughout our search for a wedding band we found that the really professional bands weren't willing to have fun and the bands that were more than willing to have fun weren't that professional. This changed when we met David and his band. The music was outstanding and the energy level kept everyone on the dance floor until the final second of the final minute of the party. They covered the spectrum from Sinatra to Warren Zevon and did it without missing a beat. And make no mistake: an evening without a strong band leader is an evening that is bound to go off the rails at some point. But, with David behind the mic you can rest easy that things will happen on time and with class. Go check out the other bands. You're going to end up calling David and booking him, but at least you can tell your fiance you did your homework. more

THE BEST PERIOD! 9/5/2011

I know this is a long overdue review for David and his band members. Simply put they are THE BEST. No matter where you are planning to have your wedding nothing compares to these guys (& girls)! From our initial meeting with David months before our big day he was nothing but professional. He kept us up to date on music selections and correspondence along with the occasional ""just checking in"" email which was refreshing knowing that someone actually cares about what is going on and not turning us into another 'customer.' Everyone from the lead singers to the sound guys are professionals who are passionate about their jobs and those they work with. No other band has ever had so many people on the dance floor from the first note to the final verse. The greatest compliment that I could have received for David was when some of our engaged friends regretted not hiring him in the first place and wishing they could change there current music vendor. David Rothstein and his orchestra made our wedding one that nobody will ever forget. Our day was made even better with a wonderful gift that he gave us and we truly knew it was from the heart (GO Blackhawks)! Thank you David for everything. You have life long customers for all of our future events and referrals coming from us. YOU ROCK! All other bands take notes, this guy is the real deal!!!! more

The Best Band EVER! 8/8/2011

David Rothstein Band made our wedding! They brought so much energy and class to our reception. David is a TRUE PROFESSIONAL. From the moment he took my call and gave me personal attention to the end of the event, it was seamless. David is truly passionate about his business and it shows. He makes you feel as if you are just as important as the very first wedding he performed for. The band was very flexible and so easy to work with for any changes. Thank you David Rothstein Music!!! We used Rothstein for our wedding and they were great. 3 piece trio for dinner, 5 piece for dinner and the 8 piece band for the rest of the reception. Everyone had a great time and the dance floor was packed all night. more

Fantastic Wedding Band 7/27/2011

My father-in-law found David Rothstein on-line and flew them out to our wedding in Beaver Creek, CO sight unseen. They could not have done a better job! David took time to get to know my wife and I via email and phone conversations so that they knew what kind of music we liked and wanted the band to play. They did a great job of emceeing the night and even added a special Colorado mountain touch by bringing a ski helmet to the reception for all of our guest to sign (my wife and I are big skiers). The band also had no problem learning the relatively obscure songs we picked for our first dance, the father-daughter dance, and the mother son dance.\r \r We have had multiple guests tell us after the wedding that it was the best wedding band they had ever heard. We had two dance floors and roughly 150 guests. I would say that both dance floors were completely full 90% of the time and the majority of our friends danced the entire time the band played.\r \r My wife and I could not recommend David Rothstein Music highly enough! more

Most Amazing Band Ever 7/27/2011

Our daughter, Marlee (Seiler), married John Griek on June 18, 2011. David Rothstein Music, Inc. played for over 6 hours on that special day, starting with cocktail hour and going past midnight. As the father and mother of the bride, my wife and I could not have been happier with David, his wonderful band, and everything that they did to make that day so extraordinary. David took complete control of everything from the minute we started working with him. He is kind, professional, enthusiastic, and follows through with everything. We had numerous guests tell us that David and his band were the best they had ever heard. People danced all night long until we were practically kicked out because of the time! Excellent Music Made an Excellent Party 7/26/2011

David promised us and our guests that this would be the best wedding they've ever been to, and he lived up to that promise. Before our July 2, 2011 wedding, he worked with us to be sure that the evening would reflect us and our vision. We had a large wedding, so David suggested doing ""Dancing Between Courses."" I had never seen this done before and was amazed when the dance floor was full from the minute the first song was announced until the end of the last one. David kept the night full of surprises, like coordinating with my husband ahead of time and arranging for him to play a special song he wrote for me on the piano and getting our guests up to do a funny line dance with all types of crazy steps and movements...it was hilarious for us to watch and got just about everyone out of their seats. David kept things moving well all throughout the evening, and so many people commented on how fabulous the music was. We wanted our wedding to be one that would be rememebered, and with the entertainment provided by David Rothstein Music, we know that will be the case. more

Amazing Wedding Band! 7/26/2011

My boyfriend and I went to a friend's wedding in October 2010. My parents also attended the wedding and we loved the band that played at the wedding reception that evening. When my boyfriend and I got engaged a few months later, we both said, ""I wonder if the band that played at our friend's wedding in October is available to play for our wedding?"". \r \r My mom and I immediately contacted David. We set up a meeting with him and did not meet with or contact any other wedding bands. After meeting with David it was very easy to make the quick decision to hire David Rothstein Music to play at our wedding! We loved meeting with David and were so excited that David Rothstein Music was also available to play at our wedding! It was one of the easiest planning decision that we made and we of course were not disappointed! The band did such a phenomenal job playing at our wedding reception that the Director of the museum that we held our reception at told us she had never had that many guests left at the end of the evening than she had at our wedding! I know we owe it all to the band! Also, my husband and I moved to San Diego right after our wedding due to a job transfer. David was so thoughtful and gave us a book on Grilling and a book all about San Diego. A number of our wedding guests signed both books and they are one of our most treasured gifts from our wedding! more
