There is no service, you have to get your own stuff from ther bar, including menus and ordering food. The bartender then throws down the food and storms off just in case you have ...

There is no service, you have to get your own stuff from ther bar, including menus and ordering food. The bartender then throws down the food and storms off just in case you have the audacity to ask for something like tartar sauce. When my little brother asked for a soda refill, she rolled her eyes at him and said ""you have to come to the bar, I'm busy"". This was a little kid by the way. I'm sorry that you have 1 employee for an entire bar/restaurant, but this was the most sullen and angry bartender I've ever encountered. Do not go here unless you are the type that likes to be treated like crap. Wish I knew that was their ""theme"". more

Best Bar in Chesterfield 3/24/2008

I'd say that every bartender at this place is just great. The best of the staff though, is Crazy Joe. He's the guy that cooks most of your food during the evenings and nights and looks like he just woke up. Absolutely hilarious. Shuffle board, pool, darts, & a video game or two to play with friends if the conversation gets dry like your gin, and they have positively the largest and tastiest burgers I think I've found in St. Louis yet. Also, the pizza is a must when drinking some beers, and you should probably just buy a pitcher. Trish is a total hottie. You'll see what I mean if you catch her there. Best place to go after work. Wound up in Dave's on a Thursday night on a recommendation from a friend. 6:30 burger, fries and vodka. Great meal and the bartender, Trish, beautiful, funny, and certainly doesn't short pour the drinks. And if she doesn't know everyone who comes in the bar, she will make sure she knows them by the time they leave. Pros: Friendly, Great Food, Lots of TV's more

""THE"" place in west county 3/1/2006

I went to Dave's tonight and I think its one of the better bars in St.Louis. It wasn't to crowded but there was a enough people to make it fun. There were a mix of old and young. The music was great. The bathrooms were clean. The staff went out of their way to give you great service. I highly recommend Dave's World Famous bar. Pros: good value, friendly staff, location more

THE place to go and be seen in St.Louis 2/28/2006

Me and 6 guys from my firehouse went last Sat. night. None of us had ever been there before. It's hidden in a strip mall of old highway 40. It was wall to wall ""HOT"" chicks. And the best part was that they were all friendly... This is were they have all been hiding!! We wound up closing the place and partying with them most of the night. I can't say enough about this little bar. The drink were good and strong, and those sweet barmaids kept them coming. I don't know who owns this place, but man he must be one happy guy. A couple of my buddies ordered burgers and said they were one of the best, they ever had. We will be coming back, a lot. I wanted to tell everyone how great this bar is. Dave's World Famous Bar 2/3/2006

I happened on Dave's lastnight. I was a party. The new oner was there, and he made sure to make everyone feel welcome. Everyone was friendly. Service was excellent. Food was great/all around great bar. Played good music. I would say its the ""Cheers"" of westcounty. You know..everyone knows your name... Pros: friendly people, good service, good food Cons: none, none, none more
