A Great experience! No pressure at all. Dave is very knowledgable about his products. He allowed us to take as much time as we wanted. We tried out quite a few. On our second visit we decided on a Ritmuller GH-160R grand. Wonderful rich sound for not a lot of money. Dave helped us to get the best instrument we could afford. Delivery was same day, No charge. I am very happy and would recommend Dave to anyone shopping for a piano. more

GREAT GUY! I went to Dave's Piano today after visiting a couple of other Piano Stores and I must say I was extreamly impressed to say the least.\r My knowlege of pianos was basically non existent. Dave spent over an hour 1/2 with me explaining the differences between the pianos in his showroom. We purchased a Beautiful Kawai at over $700 less than the other two locations we had previously visited. He was able to do same day Delivery at no charge to me.. Go see dave! 5/2/2012

Dave is very knowledgeable and has an all encompassing selection of pianos. I found just the write color and size to fit in the space and match my formal living room. He delivered my piano the same day and tuned it. It sounds and looks fantastic. If you need a piano go see Dave. more

Good piano experience 4/23/2012

I live in Tampa and I'm so glad I stopped by Dave's Pianos. He gave me great advice and taught me all about pianos. We chose a digital piano and my daughter Madison loves it. The best thing about Dave is it has now been months since we purchased it and we call periodically with question about the functions of the piano. He is always more than helpful and just spent over a half an hour on the phone, walking my daughter through the recording features. What a nice guy! more

Took advantage of 4/11/2012

I went to Daves Piano Showroom from an ad on craigslist which was misleading. When I was there he sold me on a newer upright piano, even though I though I paid to much. When it arrived at my house there were keys sticking and he wanted to charge me extra for fixing them when it was supposedly covered in the warranty. I was very upset and turned to a different local piano technician who took care of it for me. more

Terrific Experience! 8/10/2011

I visited Dave's shop today. Not knowing anything about pianos walking into Dave's, I walked out not only having purchased a piano, but received a master class in piano construction. I was super impressed with his knowledge on not only the different brands of pianos, but more importantly how they compare to each other. The two other stores that I visited did absolutely nothing to educate me. Dave literally took apart pianos and removed the entire innards, to show me why some pianos cost $5,000 and while others are $50,000+. I would never spend 50K on a piano, but after I saw the differences piece by piece, I understood why. I have never written a review on-line before. I just feel very compelled to share my positive experience with others. Perhaps that is why I am a bit confused about a review I read before composing this one. I know that shady businesses will sometimes write bogus reviews about their competitors to gain a unfair advantage. THIS MUST BE THE CASE HERE! If you need a piano go and see Dave. I promise you will be amazed as I was. more

Great Customer Service, Went Above And Beyond! 7/13/2011

Our church was in need of a grand piano for a very important performance. Another piano store quoted us a price and we went ahead with them. The day of the event they were a no show. After calling for over a hour and leaving several messages, with no response; I had to move on. I found Dave on-line and described our severe situation. He immediatly put my mind at ease by saying, ""yes we can have a grand piano delivered today."" There was however another issue. No tuners were available for a same day emergency service. When Dave learn of this HE CLOSED HIS SHOP, came to our location and tuned it himself! Our church was prepared to pay a premium. We were shocked when we recieved an invoice for $265 less than the original piano store's price. This is simply the finest customer service I have ever witnessed. To say I recommend Dave is a vast understatement. more

Not reliable! 6/28/2011

I rented a piano from Dave's last week for a conference. The service on the phone was fantastic...very nice man. I was given a very reasonable quote for the rental, delivery and tuning. However, after arriving at the site for the conference, to find the instrument had not yet been delivered, I called Dave's a total of 6 times with no response. I finally received a phone call at 3:30pm - 3 1/2 hours after the instrument was supposed to be delivered and 15 minutes after the beginning of a rehearsal for which it was needed. I was told that the instrument would be in by 4. But rather than get an apology, I got an...""oh I didn't know what time you needed the instrument""...response and further, was asked if I had a check for full payment ready upon delivery - now scheduled 4 hours late. Unfortunately, Dave's is gaining quite the reputation for this kind of behavior. Against my better judgment and some suggestions, I chose to use Dave's because they were, apparently, the only ones in the area. Next time I'll haul my own piano up 1-75 to Tampa. more

Awesome Place!!! 9/3/2010

I bought a piano for my daughter yesterday at Dave's Piano Showroom. Dave was extremely nice and informative. It was a completely different experience from the other piano stores that I shopped. Dealing with the owner (who is also a technician) was refreshing. I am so tired of going to corporate big box stores, waiting forever to be helped, only to speak with someone who knows next to nothing about what they're selling. Dave refers to himself as a ""piano nerd."" If that's the case, I will seek out ONLY NERDS for all my needs in the future. \r more
