Personal Service and Excellent Work 6/7/2013

I drove back from the Detroit area to visit family and have work done on my car. Even though I no longer live in the area, I still trust them as I have for the past 18 years. They worked around my schedule, accomodated my time there and did excellent work. WHat more can you ask for? more

Great work, less than estimated, and over the top service 6/6/2013

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Dave's. No one ever likes to have to get their car worked on, and much less so when it's an emergency and one is stuck by the side of the road waiting for a tow before the work is done, but they took good care of me. Tom, the owner, even took me downtown to pick up my wife and child before dropping us off at our house, which was very much appreciated, and to top it all off the work came in at about $20 under the estimate. It's not much, but every little bit counts. I will definitely be coming back. more

Great place to go for car service 5/29/2013

It's always a positive experience when i go to Dave's. Appointments are set up close to the day I call. When i take my car in, everything is explained completely, and the cost is reasonable. Good place to get your car worked on. more

Oil change/rotate tires/change filter 5/28/2013

This was my first visit to Dave's Garage. The waiting area was clean. My car was serviced in a timely fashion and the price was more reasonable when compared to other places that I had gone to. I will definitely go to Dave's Garage in the future. more

I was able to get my car in for maintenance in a timely manner. I was offered a ride home after I left my car. I was called back with the diagnosis within a few hours and my car was ready for pick-up before the end of the shop's work day. more

I would not recommend this Garage for the following reason.....they had our car in there garage multiple times for a repair on the same problem. Finally they thought they had it all figured out only to find out that the repair still wasnt correct.....a year later (2 days past the warranty) we are out of luck. We were told by Tom that this whole repair "has left a bad taste in his mouth" and he will not be working on it anymore. He instructed us to take it to Tim's. Oh, and the repair that he did was one he had never done before so I have my concerns if that was done correctly. I guess we are out of luck. Goes like this - paid for repair 09/29/2010 and had to take it back to have it redone on 10/28/2010 where we had to pay addionally for other parts and labor. On 3-17-2011 we had the same repair with additional parts put on and paid labor again. Now in 11-2011 we are told that since the original repair from 09-29-2010 has been a year we are out of luck. My parents have been going to Dave's garage for over 40 years.\r When my brother and I got our first cars we continued to take them to Dave's as well. Trustworthy, quality, timely, friendly; just a few reasons I ALWAYS recommend Dave's to all of my friends. I hope that Dave's is still around when I have kids so they can take their cars.
