I have been a customer at Daveâ??s since 2002. Back in the day I would always go to a car dealership when I experienced a problem. In 2002 I had an oil leak and I had no idea where it was coming from. Right away I took it into the dealer and it was around one hundred dollars just to look at it. I was in there for 2 hours before they even looked at it. The finally looked at it and said it was going to need 2,800 dollars worth of work. My car was only 4 years old at the time with only 80,000miles. I was completely shocked at how much they wanted to fix it for especially because the car still ran and they wanted to rip apart the engine. I was planning on waiting until I got the money together.
One day on my way to woodmanâ??s I saw Daveâ??s auto service and I thought, why not get a second look. I pulled in and spoke with Dave. He personally drove my car into the shop lifted it up in the air and looked around with a flashlight for a minute, lowered the car down and asked what the dealer said was wrong with it, I personally am not a car guy I know nothing about them. I gave him the paper from the dealer, right away he said â??wow, that is completely wrong, that is not whatâ??s wrong with the car. Your car can be fixed for under two hundred dollars â? turns out that I hit something in the road and pushed up my oil pan.
He ordered the part that night and it got there the next morning. I left my car there and he loaned me a vehicle. I went home woke up around noon and checked my voice mail, Dave called my car was done and the total was only $195.00 Thatâ??s why I have been and always will be a customer at Daves. â??Thank you Dave.
