Did fix the vehicle. Miss quoted me the charges. Ended up paying more than double the original quote. Was not offered any other options.

Saw me coming, that's for sure 3/13/2013

I told them my heater wasn't working and that I was pretty sure it just needed a radiator and heater core flush as I have never flushed it, with 147K miles. I get a call that I need to spend $1000 on a new heater core, because it won't transfer heat anymore. they also tell me that my Intake manifold has a "moderate" leak. Well my fiance' flushed the heater core and replaced the antifreeze. Guess what? My heater works like it did when my car was new. And I have yet to lose an ounce of antifreeze from this "supposed" leak. I guess they figured since I'm a girl, they could make an easy $1000. Too bad I know about mechanics. more

Thorough, fair and always done right the first time! 3/10/2013

Honest, friendly and they will let you know what must be done, what should be done and what could be done in the near future. In the 16 years I have taken vehicles to Dave's, I have never had to take anything back to have it done over. They do it right the first time. more

After years and years of working with mechanics, one word comes to mind when describing Dave: integrity. There is a homey aspect to him, and it is easy to trust him because he is authentic. There may be places that are neater than Dave's Auto Service, and they might have a better paint job on the shop or a shinier sign, but none of that is as important as his integrity. You have to trust the person that you are working with. If the work is not perfect he will fix it. You can have a partnership for life with Dave. more

I feel really lucky that we found his shop and not somebody else's! It could have been a nightmare and there was no way we could postpone a graduation! We had an enjoyable experience with him. He got us on the road and on our way to our vacation! We'd definitely use his shop again. more

When Dave's Auto Service does work, it seems to be right the first time. It is done when promised, in a timely fashion. He also has a complete shop. He doesn't need to farm out to other people because he seems to have the equipment and personnel to do everything in house. more

Dave's Auto Service has worked on a couple of my cars. They are older cars that we am trying to keep going. He has been fair about pricing and is also good about recommending whether it is worth investing the level of service into a car because of its age. I feel he has been fair about not charging us for every little thing that comes along. more
