Dashing Dan's Plumbing & Heating

Dashing Dan's is a complete ripoff!!! Beware of Dashing Dan's Plumbing they have no courtesy towards customers. I have a fairly new boiler, it stopped working so I called their company... They offered free estimates. The technician showed up a few hours later than scheduled. He took it opon himself to change the roll out switch, cost $10.00 for the switch and 10 mins to install... $315.00 is what they charged me... I was upset due to how they charged me and contacted the company... Dan must have been Dashing for each time I called they kept saying he was out of town... Then on one occasion the technician who over charged me on a free estimate got on the phone saying that he should have charged me more so he could give me something back... Very Rude !!! Then almost 2 weeks later I called and reached the owner... Without hearing my concerns regarding the situation he was very rude and simply said he went over the bills and they're correct... Goodbye... Not only were they very rude and dismissive of my complaints my boiler system stop working 2 weeks later... Luckily I purchased a contract for my boiler system through Homeserve. Thank God for homeserve, they replaced it, excellent customer service, no problem since. I felt hurt and ripped off by Dashing Dan's Plumbing and hope by posting this it can save others from this experience !!! more

I have to commend Dashing Dan's Plumbing in West Islip. First, they actually came when they said they would, and they did not charge me to come and look at my problem. I had 2 problems. One was with my water heater, which as it turns out was still under the manufacturers warranty and they got me a replacement one for free. The 2nd problem was a leak under my sink that other plumbers never could seem to fix. They had very fair prices, they were very neat and on time. I'm very happy with them and you will be too! more
