On October 29, 2011 the day of the freak snowstorm, my brother married his beautiful wife at the Riviera in Coney Island. Mike Serras and his team helped everyone to forget the terrible weather and dance and party all night long. We want to thank him for making an amazing day even that much more special!! July 3, 2011 @ Giando's on Water - ok, so we approached Mike with a challenge for our wedding,. I'm Greek and my wife is spanish and we both have completely different tastes in music. We needed Mike to balance the wedding with Greek music, salsa, rock for me, and dance music for my wife. Mike Serras and his crew did nothing short of a spectacular job balancing all genres and the transition from genre to the next was flawless. In addition, he's a very personable guy and made us feel comfortable from the get go. For example, I have a late work schedule, so he met us at our house 2 weeks before the wedding to go over music selection. Also, during the reception, he was watching me the whole time just in case I wanted a song changed or if I wanted song to be cut short. He did my sister's wedding last year, my wedding this year, and will be doing my other sister's wedding next year....what does that say about our confidence in the guy? This is one vendor that you don't have to worry about and your guests will be quite impressed. Also, he're a tip...you might want to book him with percussionist Kimo.... they work great together and gives it the ""live band"" touch. We hired Dash of Class (Mike Serras and Anthony Roman) to DJ our wedding in Jyne 11, 2011. We had a wedding with mostly friends, ranging from ages 30-45, and our immediate families. We made a decision that we were going to have the music we wanted, and not cater to an expecations that our families might want (Run Around Sue, Instant Reply, etc.), even if that meant our Parents and Aunts and Uncles didnt dance (SHAME ON US, I know :)...Well, Mike and Anthony took our request and still had EVERYONE on the dance floor...ALL NIGHT LONG! It was like the best, most fun club you would ever want to go to! Even my dad, who is a conservative type dude of 60 years old, was shaking his butt on the dancefloor. From the minute the buffett ended...to the very last song...EVERYONE was dancing!! Mike and Anthony were awsome, they made the PARTY what it was. The next day all I heard was how great the DJ was from our guests. I would absolutely hire them again...and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! FIVE STARS!! Great job Dash of Class!!! more

I recently planned a surprise 70th Birthday party for my Dad and Uncle?twins. I was recommended a DJ, who unfortunately, it turned out, had a conflict with my event date; so about 2 months before the day of the event, he put me in touch with Mike Serras. Mike kept in close contact with me right up to the day before the party. All the while assuring me that everything will be fine. I explained to him that while my dad may be turning 70, he?s more like a young 50. Well, it turned out to be the most fortunate accommodation for my party. I can say the guest list included an age range of 3 years old to 92. When I tell you Mike had everyone on the floor, I mean everyone! I saw my great aunt standing and bobbing her little head, enjoying everyone on the floor. No one could stay seated. It was great! I just hope Mike Serras stays in this business until my daughter turns 16, because I can?t see trusting anyone else to entertain my parties!!! What a pleasure to deal with such a reassuring, courteous and professional individual who really knows his craft. Thanks, Mike!!! more

Dash of Class was recommended to us by our wedding venue, South Gate Manor, and we could NEVER thank them enough! From our first meeting, Mike kept telling me, he got what we wanted and would take care of us.. So many times you hear that and then do not get the service you were expecting, but DUDE! did he deliver on his promises!! Our wedding reception was AMAZING all thanks to Mike and his crew at Dash of Class! From the music to the special lighting we chose, the reception was EXACTLY what my husband and I had wished for! The dance floor was packed the entire night and we love watching our wedding footage and watching how much fun the crowd was having! Mike knew what worked for the crowd and just provided us with a phenomemal time. I really cannot say enough great things about their service and have been recommending them to EVERYONE! Though our wedding was almost two months ago, we still get tons of compliments on Dash of Class. The attention to us, our wedding guests and the service was just above and beyond our expectations! We had Dash of Class DJ our wedding September 26, 2010 at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn in Stroudsburg, PA. We chose to go with Mike Serras bceause he got so many great reviews. Well the reviews were right! He was absolutely superb. It actually took us a while to pick the perfect DJ for us becuase when you go to a wedding you usually only remember the music and the food. Well the food was great and the music was OUTSTANDING! We knew we made the right choice with Dash of Class. Mike paid very close attention to making sure we were satisfied with the music (I'm kind of a music snob) and he exceeded my expectations!!! Our dance floor was full the whole entire night! Everyone kept coming up to me saying how impressed they were with the music selection. They kept it classy (no cheesy line dances or anything) but still kept the whole party dancing and having a great time. They played something for everyone, which was really great. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who wants a DJ that actually listens to what you want and makes it happen! They gave us more than just a ""dash"" of class, it was fantastic. The first time we heard Dash Of Class at a Bridal Show at our venue, South Gate Manor in Freehold, NJ-- I knew they were great for our wedding! Mike Serras was a pleasure to work with. Any questions I asked were always answered right away. I was always worried about little wedding details and Mike made me feel very at ease when it came to our entertainment. I knew that I had no worries with him in charge. We wanted a very high energy and fun wedding and that is exactly what we got! All our guests raved about the music and DJ. If you look at our pictures, the tables are empty in the background because everyone was up dancing the entire evening! They played a perfect mix of music everyone loved. My husband and I had our reception at Seasons in Bergen County on June 19, 2010. Our DJ was Mike Serras of Dash of Class. Mike Serras is awesome! The absolute best DJ ever! Aside from finding the right hall, finding the right DJ was the most important factor for me when planning my wedding. I am Italian American and my husband is originally from Guatemala (I'm 31, he's 36). It was really important for me to find a DJ who could play the perfect balance of today's hit music, dance classics as well as a good mix of Latin music for our friends and my husband's family. I wanted people dancing all night long. And....Mike Serras hit the nail right on the head! Mike and his colleagues at DOC were amazing from start to finish! They are the most professional group of people I have ever worked with...and I am very critical. I was extremely impressed with the customer service I received from every employee at DOC, particularly Mike. Anytime I e-mailed him, I would receive a response same day...sometimes in a matter of minutes! From our very first appointment, Mike put me completely at ease (I was referred by a friend to DOC). I am a bit anal, so I made sure I gave Mike as much information as possible so that he knew how to cater to my guests. However, I also let him do whatever he thought would work best with the info provided...so happy I did! My husband actually didn't even meet Mike until the day of the wedding due to his crazy work schedule. Needless to say, he was thrilled with DOC and thought that the music couldn't have been any better. Every single person who came to my wedding commented on how fantastic the music was - my family, his family, friends, old, young...everyone! They all said the music was 'perfect'...exact words! I recently had a 50th birthday party for my husband. It was at a wonderful resturante in Staten Island which we frequent often. The own recommended Mike Serras specifically from Dash of Class. I wanted very specific items during the party to ensure a certain feel. Mike and team worked with me endlessly to ensure each detail and step was executed just the way I wanted it. I hired him to be the DJ, to take snap shots all night of my guests to be projected on to a huge screen, video highlights of the evening and a video montage. I recieved incredible photos from the evening. Once the night started i had to think of nothing, he took care of it all. Not only did i think Mike did an excellent job, my husband had an incredible time and our friends and family are still commenting on the event. I have given out his name and number to six people who were at the party who plan to use him. He did an excellent job, I will use him and his team again. we first saw these guys at a wedding we didn't really want to attend. by the end, we didn't want to leave! we recommended them for a good friend's wedding, she hired them and again, it was off the hook. Peter Sciortino knows how to dj a party. the music is always appropriate, he reads the crowd and just plays the right thing. so we hired him for our wedding in September and within an hour of getting to the reception, EVERYONE was dancing. he played our entire playlist and mc'd the night to perfection.
