I dined at this restaurant with my boyfriend for the first time on the night of October 11,2008. My boyfriend and I are both of Persian backgrounds, so we were quite familiar with the dishes served. We had Kabob-e-Khubideh and Kabob-e-Soltani. Both beef kabob dishes that were very palatable; the prices for the dishes were reasonable. However, the service was absolutely horrible. Basically, our waiter came to our table 3 times: to place our orders, serve the food, and bring the check. Our drinks were never refilled. We had to wait for a long time for our food to be brought out, and when we asked to have a hookah, we were rudely denied. The waiter promptly asked for ID. He went away for a couple of minutes with my boyfriend's ID and then came back denying our request for a hookah claiming that the federal law requires you to be ""20 and older to smoke hookah."" My boyfriend is 18 and I'm 20. When we asked which law he was taking about because federal and state laws for purchasing tobacco products is 18, therein making it legal for my boyfriend to smoke hookah, he mumbled something and quickly went off never coming back except when we had to flag him down for our check. We still wanted a hookah, so we had to flag down another waiter because ours was nowhere in sight. The other waiter checked our IDs and brought our hookahs without any problem. Overall this experience was quite unpleasant, and I was very disappointed at the low quality of service we had. If I had the option of going to this restaurant again, I definitely would not unless management decided to revamp its employees.
