Darkside Window Tinting

Poor business practice. Bubbles, cut lines, sloppy work. Made appt to get it fixed, OWNER was not there, had to call twice to get him there. Denied refund, denied responsiblity, would not fix or redo. Went to Simbol Window tinting, found more mistakes made by Darkside. WILL NOT RETURN!! more

Moved to a different city (shelby twp) had my car done here. Spoke with the owner and was hesitant on trying someplace new without a referal from someone local, he stated hes been doing it for 22 yrs and is one of the best around. So I gave him a try. Pros: Fast Cons: Poor installation more

We have had 3 previous vehicles, our home and are about to have our newest vehicle tinted with Darkside Window Tinting. I have nothing but high praise for this company. We had our house windows tinted about 5 years ago because we have wood floors and alot of windows - we were afraid the floors and our furniture would be faded by the sunlight. It took a little over 1 business day to complete and the owner was very fast, friendly and professional. He was on time and completed the job quickly and I haven't had one problem in 5 years - and absolutely no fading (unlike some of my neighbors who don't have the tint). I have recommended him to my friends/neighbors and they have been completely satisfied as well. I highly recommend hiring Darkside. Pros: Happy with everything! We wanted to have our windows tinted before moving across country to ease heat and UV exposure during the trip. I called around town to compare prices. All local window tinters quoted us around $295 for an 07 Toyota Corolla. Since there was no huge price variance, we just took a gamble on Darkside Window Tinting. They assured us they could have the windows tinted before our trip. We made an apt for a Friday afternoon which they called to reschedule later on that week for the following Monday. That was fine with us. Our appointment was rescheduled for Monday at 8AM. We showed for our appointment time, but the owner did not. We were told by the office employee they would not be able to tint our windows that day. Darkside called two hours later to let us know the owner showed up and we could drop our car off now. I can not speak on behalf of their product because I was so peeved by them at this time I was not going to give them my business. Point is, there is no cost benefit to taking your business to Darkside so I suggest going to someone who cares more about their business practices and customer service. It might save you a headache! more
