Top notch 2/23/2007

Darimar is such an incredible experience. The instructors and Grand Master are knowledgeable, hard working and incredibly courteous. They provide a vigorous workout and teach you all the necessary components of martial arts. I highly, highly, recommend Darimar. more

Top Notch Teachings! 12/18/2006

Both my 7-year-old boy and 5-year-old girl absolutely love Darimar. My son has obtained so much confidence and self-discipline since becoming a member. Both my kids love going to class and the instructors are top notch. My family plans on staying committed to Tae Kwon Do for a very long time because of the excellent experience at Darimar. We highly recommend it to anyone. more

Great for family fun 12/14/2006

DARIMAR is great for my family and I to spend time together. We also are working our bodies at the same time. I have lost pounds and I feel better about myself. My children are also away from the television more. The people at DARIMAR are friendly and I can talk to them. This is a family business so the owners actually interact with the customers. The facility, masters and instructors are top notch. 12/12/2006

My daughter and I have been impressed with all aspects of Darimar Martial Arts. The facility, masters and instructors are top notch, but the overall atmosphere of encouragement, motivation and fun are what make you eager for your next lesson. Our only regret is that we didn?t start Taekwondo at Darimar earlier. Pros: Darimar has a five star facility with plenty of classes to accommodate our family schedule more

A joke 11/29/2005

I went here for a trial period and also have known other students who attended here. First, I'll start with my experience. Imagine the stereo blasting techno while you're doing martial arts. All twenty students stand in one line and after getting through the line, kick the pad and go to the back of the line. Meanwhile, the grandmaster is dancing to the techno at the front like he just don't care. Yes, this really happened to me. Seriously, you'd be better off taking that Billy Blank's stuff from a video. Now I'll get to the people I know who've attended here. My mom could kick these people's rear's, no kidding. They just aren't any good, period. Yes, Darimar has a good demo team. But by and far, their teaching is neglectful and nowhere near authentic. Please don't waste your time here unless you want a black belt in a year without really learning martial arts and self-defense. more

Wonderful instructors in a brand new building 9/2/2005

Darimar recently moved into a new studio, and it is extremely nice and spacious. They have 2 studios for classes. I've taken kickboxing there, and it's a great class. It's a little different than the kickboxing classes you'd take at a gym...definitely more of a martial arts slant (for obvious reasons). The classes give you a great workout. The instructors are tough but nice - they take the time to make sure you do the moves correctly. more

  • Family owned, not franchised. Grandmaster Darim Jang has 40 years of experience in marital arts and is an 8th degree grandmaster in Tae Kwon Do. Our master instructors are 5th degree black belts and majored in Tae Kwon Do from martial arts colleges in Korea. They have demonstrated Tae Kwon Do throughout their college years, and have traveled throughout the world. One of our master instructors is a 4th degree black belt in Kum Do. All our classes have a fantastic instructor-to-student ratio.
    AMENITY
    Established in 1999, and is one of the most beautiful and largest "State of the Art" traditional martial arts facilities in the Midwest. Darimar is over 12,000 sq. ft. Studio #1 is the largest, 4,500 sq. ft. with a ceiling height of 20 ft. Studio #2 is 1,600 sq. ft. with a ceiling height of 14 ft. There is also a private lesson room where our instructors can provide individualized attention.     Darimar's unique program is designed for progress at an individual's own pace. Members begin training as young as 3 1/2 years of age. Children's classes are divided by both age and skill level. Adult classes are specifically designed to increase cardiovascular capacity,muscular strength,endurance and flexibility. Classes also provide an opportunity for weight loss and stress relief. While you improve your physical fitness you will also be developing self-defense skills. The variety of martial arts techniques will provide a more consistent challenge than a traditional exercise repetition.
