9 out of 10 locals will tell you this place serves the best horseshoe in town. Springfield is the home of the horseshoe (featured on the Today show with Al Roker). A classic horseshoe is: a slice of texas toast, topped with a hamburger patty, topped with french fries, all covered in cheese sauce. Variations also exist, typically the meat is what is varied (there are now turkey, buffalo chicken, veggie, pork tenderloin and numerous other varieties of horseshoes..). What makes D'Arcy's horseshoe the best is without a doubt they're fantastic dreamy white cheese sauce. It is indeed, a highly caloric, slice of heaven. D'Arcy's had been located in the same old strip mall for as long as anyone could remember, but with wait times approaching two hours some weekend nights (for seats, not for food), they finally built and moved into a larger location. The new location has a little less charm but the same great food. more

This is simply an all around great restaurant. They have one of the best horseshoes around, served with their authentic white cheese sauce. They also have a wide variety on their menu to choose from and everything that I have ever tried has been just great. It is a family type restaurant and they have recently moved to a new and bigger location to accomadate their growing business. The atmosphere is great, the wait staff is great, and everyone is friendly. It is based around an Irish setting and they have these irish mashed potatoes that are awesome. I have never had a bad experience there. more
