Many websites such as this still have us listed in our Albertville location, but we are re-opening in St. Michael. We are bursting at the seams with new ideas including our brand new holiday show. Dance Impressions offers a state of the art dance studio with floated wood floors, mirrored walls, and professional level ballet barres designed specifically for our studio. We specialize in the disciplines of Pointe, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, and Hip-Hop with special emphasis in Ballet. Dance Impressions offers highly qualified instructors whom are in continued education, maintaining their credentials and improving their communication with children. Dance Impressions philosophy is to teach children the art of dance through proper technique in addition to building motor skills, coordination, self-esteem and self-discipline. Dance Impressions, St. Michael, MN is one of the few studios in the twin cities that really does emphasize training based on solid dance technique: Solid ballet foundation, character building, and emphasis on the performance of dance. Many dance studios claim to be technique based, but a closer look usually shows that they are competition based. They grill and drill students on specific dances over and over without the necessary technical training. Dance Impressions is not like that. They have competed at the highest levels with their performing lines AND demonstrate high technical training. Their students win numerous scholarship and almost always win the dance downs because they learned how to dance, not just a dance.
