I went to the Dallas Arboretum over the weekend with a group of ladies, and have to say, this place is gorgeous! It was the perfect day to walk through all these gardens and water areas - very soothing! There were lots of folks talking photos of their kids or wedding photos. The breeze was blowing - it was SO nice! There are lots of beautiful flowers in bloom and lush grasses swaying in the breeze - and LOTS of trees! I would encourage you to visit the Dallas Arboretum, take a picnic lunch and take your shoes off and run your toes through the grass. more

Arboretum 3/29/2006

BEAUTIFUL. I especially love the spring there with all the tulips and azaleas. Nice and green anytime. A good place to take the kids to roam around. Very big and lots of walking. They do have a little tram though. Great place for picture taking with the flowers everywhere and the lake. Great place for bridal or engagement pics. more

Arboretum & Botanical Garden are very beutiful gardens. they have all kinds of flowers. They are very neat and clean. They are very well organized and maintained. they are very good during fall season. Thier ticket is little bit more but worth it. You can find any kind of flowers. They have a lots pf gardens here. They are very large. They have very good location. more

Garden in the City 9/28/2005

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is one of the best gardens I have ever been too. They have so many different varieties of plants and flowers (all marked). I didn't know most of them could grow in Texas. There are always flowers blooming no matter what time of year. There are always brides in the park getting their pictures made and it does make for a lovely backdrop for pictures. It is just a really nice place to take a walk and enjoy nature when you are in the city! A must do for those who haven't! more

Dallas Arboretum 9/27/2005

What a lovely place to spend an afternoon! The parking is close to the gate (if you can get into that lot and not have to park down the street and shuttle) and the prices are fair. Spring is the most beautiful time to visit, they have massive tulips to admire that are just gorgeous. We had our engagement pictures taken here as well and they turned out wonderfully - the reflecting pool is a great place to take pictures or just to sit and relax. Lots of little trails to walk through, flowers to see, and places to sit and relax. Great for a date, family outing, or someplace to get inspiration for your own gardening projects. more

Dallas Arboretum 9/13/2005

This is such a wonderful oasis in the big city. The best time to visit would be in the spring and a must see is the Dallas Blooms festival in April. They have wonderful plant sculptures too. The gardens are wonderful for your spring pictures too! There is a lot to see at the Arboretum and plenty of places to have a picnic with the family. The children love the old buildings they can play in and the hands on garden is always a hit. The garden can be a bit pricey for some, but well worth the visit at least once. more

Bring the camera 9/6/2005

This is a beautiful place to go and walk or take your children for some very nice pictures. It is very pleasant and beautiful. You can go on a date, but always remember the camera. Black and white pictures turn out great here. This place is great if you want to picnic also. There is so much you can do here. more

A beautiful place to visit 8/24/2005

Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden is a wonderful place to visit with your family or friends. There is so much to look at and it takes a while to walk around all the attractions. The gardens are so beautiful to look at and it is very relaxing place. I highly recommend it for a day out. more

The Dallas Arboretum 8/21/2005

Ever stop to smell the roses? You can at the Dallas Arboretum. You can smell roses and so many other flowers too. It is a great place to take walks in, have picnics, or even an eater egg hunt. The flowers are especially beautiful in the spring time or the summer time. Or, if you prefer the foliage, go there during the fall. more

Anyone who loves flowers should plan a trip here. This place holds many species or flowers and plants, all of which are something to truly behold. The park has numerous exhibits featuring themes of specific flower groups. There is usually an Arts & Crafts exhibit for children. Try to come during the spring, as everything is just blooming perfectly. more

If you love the outdoors, the smell of flowers, or simply watching nature at its prime, the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden is a perfect place to visit. There are many clusters of flowers and greenery to walk by on those sunny days, and the smell of it all is simply divine. It will surely relax you! more

This place is a must visit if you enjoy flowers. The best time to go is spring because in the summer it really sizzles down in TX! It can be a bit crowded, so try to come on the weekend. You can also host special events (weddings, etc) here if you would like the gorgeous flowers to be your background. more

A great place to relax and enjoy 8/16/2005

The Dallas Arboretum is a spacious garden that has a variety of beautiful and interesting separate gardens to see while you're there. Admission is cheap, and the Women's Garden is particularly worthwhile, with a gorgeous fountain and sculptures that instill a sense of tranquilty in visitors. They host special envents (weddings, etc.) and often have special things planned, such as concerts in the park and art festivals. The grounds are impeccable and the flowers and plants are all labeled, so you can find your own seeds to plant the ones you most admire. more

The Dallas Arboretum 8/16/2005

The Arboretum is definitely a great place to go with friends, family, or on a date. It is a nice place to see plants and flowers, especially in the Spring (Summer is a little hot as most of the thing is outside, of course). It is very big and has a few places to eat. The views are very great--you can see White Rock Lake from parts of it. Kids will always like to go to the bamboo forest and explore, but make sure they don't get lost! Another good one is the giant frog attraction, which spout water from their mouths! more

These gardens are goregous when the flowers are in full bloom. Be sure to visit in the spring when "Dallas Blooms." Enjoy sixty acres of colorful flowers, green gardens, and shady trees. This is a great place for a nice picnic date or just to relax and enjoy nature in the bustling city. more

The Dallas Arboretum is a beautiful park on White Rock Lake. There are many gardens and two mansions that you can tour. During the summer, the gardens host many concerts and other special events. There is a special "frontier town" for the kids as well some fun frog fountains they can play in. This place gets really busy on certain weekends so go during the week if you can. If you like the Arboretum, get a membership ($65) which gives you free parking and admission for two. This will pay for itself if you go more than 5 times a year. They are open year-round. more

A good place for the family! 8/5/2005

Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden is good for the whole family with kids to go on weekends. It has different flowers and botanical gardens showing in different seasons. Kids would love to play on the big grass land. There are also special festivals and shows in the year round available. IF you enjoy the nature's colors, you will enjoy here. more
