Eggstacy Cafe in Oakbrook Terrace 3/27/2011

We have a group of ladies who meet monthly for brunch, and this is one of our favorite places. They have a separate room for groups, but can also accommodate groups in the main area. The food was, for everyone, very good and properly cooked and seasoned. We did have a few slight problems with the wait staff, but they were quickly rectified, and with a smile and apology. I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast to anyone! more

Breakfast Heaven interesting and different breakfast items. 10/3/2010

I?ve traveled so far to 45 states and found very few places that really make an effort at coming up with interesting and different breakfast items. The menu was the most extensive of any restaurant I have eaten at that specializes in breakfast. The service was great and the food?.wow. The pumpkin cheese cake pancakes were outstanding. I loved Dali?s special omelet - just spicy enough. The d?cor is cute and the menu is full of eggcellent puns. I?ll be back in the area in a week and look forward to another visit. BTW my favorite breakfast spot is Norma?s in NYC which costs 2-3 times the prices at Eggstasy. more

not the best service, by far! 6/7/2010

I went to Eggstasy the other day with my mom. I've been there before quite a few times but it was my moms first. I had told her that although the service is always pretty slow and not the best that the food made up for it. Boy they did they make me look stupid. We had the worst experience ever.. not only are the services completely clueless about the menu, they will not accomodate you at all. Not even the so called ""manager."" I will say that there food is pretty good but after going so many times and the service is still the same, I had to call it quits. The place is beautiful, the decor is unique and simple but unfortunately the service ruins the place. Wish they would train up these servers a little better and maybe tell them that when there standing by the computers texting, customers can see them. more

can't seat you 5/11/2010

i understand its mothers day, but they couldn't manage their staff or tables. letting parties sit for hours and lying to customers who were waiting. only go if you have a day to kill more

My absolute FAVORITE breakfast place! 3/13/2010

I'm shocked to see ANY negative review here, and not surprised at the other extremely favorable reviews. This place is run by my other favorite bfast place-Dali's Cafe on Main St. in Downers Grove. The menu is incredible, very fancy dishes bursting with flavor, huge portions, super friendly staff always eager to share what their favorite items are on the menu. You know you're in a great place when the staff gushes over the food, and has a hard time deciding on their favorites. They are also very accommodating with special requests. For example, they have a salmon and cream cheese omelette on the menu, which is very good (""fluffy"" is an understatement!), but they gladly let me substitute and order a salmon/spinach/feta omelette, which is the best darn omelette I HAVE EVER HAD! Plus, they let you substitute the pancakes that come with the omelette for a small version of their super special dishes for $2.95 extra, so I had a small white chocolate raspberry pancakes order to go with my omelette...holy cow, there ought to be a law, or a back room with cots for napping! Pros: Extremely friendly staff, special requests okay, the FOOD! Cons: Becoming too darn popular...so allow for 15-30 minute wait. more

You'll be sorry! 10/11/2009

My wife had eggs benedict was nasty and fishy tasting. Do not order anything with the crab - you'll be sorry. My daughter ordered pancakes and they were, well, pancakes. They asked her how the food tasted and she was honest; they did NOTHING about it other than say sorry. How about offering to bring her a mint to get the raunchy fish flavor out of her mouth? Breakfast for 1 adult and 1 child for $30. Rip off! Pros: Nice atmosphere Cons: Poor service, bad food more

Best Breakfast Place I've been too!! 4/2/2009

This place is by far my new favorite restaurant to go for breakfast. Brunch is my favorite meal to eat out. I drive to the city for just the right breakfast atmosphere I'm looking for, which is fun, cool and hip. This place has it! It is absolutely adorable! Aside from the decor though, the food is out of this world! It is the most eclectic breakfast menu I've ever seen. I have only been there once so I can only recommend a few things, but I'll tell you, I plan on eating everything on the menu. I'm the type of person who needs something savory...and something sweet with each meal so I was happy that I was able to upgrade to all the mouth-watering ""eggstasy"" items. I ordered the Dali's omelette, which has chorizo sausage, jalapeno peppers, onions and queso. This was probably one of the best omelettes I've ever had, if not the best. For my upgrade, I chose the banana nutella crepes. Oh...My...Gosh!! These were heavenly!! Everything was just the right texture. I'm excited to start checking off the menu each thing I try. Needless to say, I am now a self-proclaimed regular at Eggstasy, where the decor is perfect, the food is phenomenal...and oh yeah I forgot to mention, the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I highly recommend bringing in your friends and family to this upscale breakfast spot. Pros: Delicious Food, Attentive Staff, and Gorgeous Decor Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Now I know why they call it Eggstacy! 3/20/2009

My husband and I were doing some shopping and decided we wanted to grab a bite to eat and happened to come across it unintentionally. We ate there on Saturday, March 14th, around 1 PM and let me tell you it was the best ""breakfast"" place we have EVER eaten at. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge. They have so many variations on your typical breakfast menu that you can't decide what to order because it all looks and sounds great. We had no problems with service or wait times. The atmosphere is nice and the privacy of tables is good as well. We were so full by the time we left, neither one of us ate anything for the rest of the day. You must try the bananas in the phyllo dough... to die for! We can't wait to go there again this weekend and we're bringing our extended families with us so they experience the food. I guarantee we'll be regulars on the weekend. You definitely have to try this place out! Pros: The food is to die for! Cons: Not open for dinner more

""Eggceptionally"" Great! 3/11/2009

I came online to write a review about my phenomenal experience at Eggstasy in Oakbrook, and couldn't believe what I was reading prior to writing this review. I happened to be at Eggstasy on Sunday and was sitting near that table with the uncalled for complaint. I have been a customer at Dali's Cafe since they opened (approximately 9 years ago) and know that woman (owner) that was supposedly very rude to this table. There was absolutely nothing rude that the owner said to this table...she was actually trying to be VERY accommodating to the customers complaining and they were talking to her in a very demeaning manner. The restaurant was packed and there were customers waiting to be seated. When the food is so excellent, you don't mind waiting an extra 5 minutes....afterall, no one has specialty dishes like Dalis and Eggstasy. We had the banana nutella crepes and the incredible omelette and they were out of this world...to top it off, we enjoyed some pumkin cheesecake pancakes for dessert! Needless to say, Dalis and Eggstasy are my number one spot for breakfast and what makes me keep going back is that very friendly, welcoming lady with the very sweet accent. Our food was served to us in less than 20 minutes....as a matter of fact, we wished it would've taken longer so we can enjoy the very cool atmosphere throughout the restaurant. I will be back over and over again just like I've been going to Dalis since they opened. Thanks for the great food and most of all the outstanding customer service! more

Very Rude Ownership and Poor Overall Service 3/9/2009

Eggstacy held great potential however due to it's owner we will never go again. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone, ever. Cons: Rude owner, Poor customer service more
