Best Burgers and Root Beer in Dallas 12/17/2009

I don't work here and I don't know the owner, I just know burgers. In East Dallas we are lucky to hav places like Jack's, Fat Daddies and others who serve burgers and fries but the Dairy-ette is the best. The portions are big and goooooood. The prices are higher but you get much more food. Pros: Food Cons: No refills on drinks more

This place is a legend. I went to school with the owner and it has always been our favorite for burgers and fries. The root beer in a frosted mug is the best, but also try the cherry limeades. You can't go wrong eating here. It's ALL good!! Pros: Good Food, Good People!! more

Sept 2008 - was there last night for a classic car show - always fun - but food has been better. Burger ""meat"" was dry and the french fries were hot but greasey!!!! I have had better from them. more

Great Food. I got the burger and fry/oinion ring combo. Root beer is wonderful. A little pricey for a burger joint but worth every penny. If you are looking for a classic burger, this place is for you. more

The Dairy-ette is a wonderful place to go, whether you've been going for all 51 years, or you have just heard about this little gem! Voted BEST FRENCH FRIES IN 2006 by the DALLAS OBSERVER, you can order them cooked light or crispy and they always seem to come out delicious! We also make our very own rootbeer! 50's style drive in 7/19/2003

This place has the BEST burgers, fries, malts, and rootbeer. They make their own rootbeer. They are a real price performer, and just plain delicious. You can park and have them come out, or you can go in for a blast from the past. Waitstaff is friendly and courtous, food is prime. i'll never go to Micky Dees or Burger king again, while this charming establishment is around. Pros: Great burgers, cheap, fun more
