Da Laza Couture with Iman Bridal

Go anywhere but here! I bought my dress from Iman Bridal Couture, which later was sold to Mr. Da Laza. Ceszar is neither a designer nor a businessman, though he thinks himself both. I cried at my last fitting - and these were not happy tears. Don't let Ceszar's grandiose front fool you. There is not enough champagne or ""my dear"" salutations to make this worth the aggravation. Without the seamstress he fired making last minute alterations on my gown, the bridesmaid dresses, my mother's gown and my mother-in-law's gown, we would not have had properly fitting garments to wear down the aisle. Please, let my bad experience save you from going through the same thing. more

I ordered my dress from Iman Baccash - LAST year - I never got it. She sold out under me to Cezar of Da Laza Couture. Both are scammers and not good people. I lost $2,500 and got jerked around up until the end which is now three weeks away from my wedding and all I saw today when I sat in the NEW location because they got evicted from the original location was just a very late semestress with material. I showed up at 5:30 for my ""first fitting"" guess what my first fitting was? It was material!!! Three weeks away from wedding and my coture custom made gown that I ordered a year ago is still material. $5000 plus and you think three weeks prior a thread would have been sewn. Not to mention the other three brides I ran into that were crying . One of them was getting married in three days and they lost her veil and belt - AND they never did the alterations!!! Poor girl. At least I have time to find another dress but I warn you all to stay away from Iman Baccash and Cezar of Da Laza Couture - they will both hurt you and steal your money. Talk of a class action lawsuit is in the process. WARNING GIRLS!! more

I got married in October 2011 to the man of my dreams, and I got to wear the dress of my dreams! Admittedly, that sounds cheesy, but it's true! I went to Iman's after a not so hot experience at Kleinfeld's (they seriously made me cry), because Iman's is small, and I had heard good things about her selection. I also went to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. They were nice there, but they didn't hold a candle to Iman Bridal. Anyway, from the first moment I tried on my dress (and I probably tried on every dress in the store) I knew it was THE ONE!!! Iman knew too, and told me so! I was so happy!!! Each time I went to try it on (for the tailoring) I felt like the only customer in the world. My dress came out PERFECT and I couldn't be happier!!! I would recommend Iman Bridal to anyone getting married on or near to Long Island. more

Iman Bridal Couture is out of this world. Iman herself welcomes you from the second you walk into the store till the day you pick up your dress. The amount of detail and attention i received is one of a kind. All the employees are so attentive and professional. I only wish i had done everything through Iman and know for future things i will. I recommend her to every bride out there, bridesmaid, mother of bride, flower girl- you name it! She would not allow any customer to leave her store without being 100% satisfied regardless if you purchased everything from her or not. Thank you for making my day perfect! I got married eight months and my fiance is a resident in the Glen Cove Hospital. He passed by Iman Bridal everyday on his way to work and even commented on the beautiful dresses that they always had in the windows and told me go there. I avoided going there at first because of some negative remarks about her. So I did my shopping between Wedding Salon, Bridal Reflections, Priscilla and others. I decided to give it a try and go to Iman's to please my fiance. Let me tell you something, the ambiance of the store was beautiful with all the thank you cards on the wall and the books of thank you cards spoke for themselves, thats when I felt at ease. The service was beyond good especially my sales person Ali, with her smile and patience. After staying in the store for three and a half hours (where other stores didnt even give me an hour), she didnt lose her cool, then I met Iman because I couldnt find what I wanted. She started giving me advice and was talking to me with her beautiful sense of humor and with other people walking in for alterations and picking up their gowns, they didnt leave without thanking her and hugging her for all her great work. After being confused and going back a couple of times I ended up getting my wedding gown, my bridesmaids, my mother and my future mother in law’s dresses there. Everything was perfect from the dresses to the perfect alterations that were done. What made it beautiful was Iman was so caring that she gave me her cell phone number just in case of an emergency on my wedding day (what owner would do that???). She is one of kind person that will help you select your wedding gown with ease. Her advice is valuable because she was in the business for twenty-six years and owns her store for eleven years. She was always in the store no matter what, from when I purchased, to every fitting, to every questions that I had (she says and lives by her philosophy of be there for your client: from her website). In the end, I didnt just leave with a beautiful experience (..and gorgeous dress designed by Iman!), but I left with a friend. The only downfall is that I will not be able to experience it again. I recently purchased 2 dresses from Iman for my sons weddings. Iman and her staff were so patient with me as I had to try on every dress in her shop before I found the right one! Not only did I find one perfect dress, I found two. Iman can handle everything from taking in a seam to a complete overhaul of a dress. I would recommend her shop highly for any mother of the bride or groom. Pros: Good Selection more

I am not someone who likes to write on these blogs, but I was astonished at the positive feedback that Iman's Bridal Couture received. Thinking about the experience I had there makes me want to cry. Siince I am not a very public person, I am going to keep my story to myself; however, Iman will treat you like a princess until she gets your money. Then she will lie and stab you in the back. Lke most women I worried about finding a gown that would look beautiful even though I have those parts of the body that are less then perfect. I came prepared with all kinds of ideas after searching countless birdal magazines of what gown what make me look like those birdes in all the magazines (gulp, I hoped). I tried on ""my vision"",( UH OH,) then Iman said ""here this will be perfect for you"". She saw my face, (I looked at her as if she were showing me the bride of Frankenstiens' dress) Iman said ""don't worry, we'll change the color for your wedding, just put it on"". I did. I could have cried from relief. The dress made me look 10 pounds thinner. It was everything I could have wanted in a dress and more then I could have imagined. Iman's eye for a woman's body is her gift. Along, with an eye for detail and personal sense of responsibility and pride in her work, I'man's Bridal is the only place I would suggest a bride or any one come for a gown. She will figure it out, no matter what. My aunt was with me the day Iman showed me my gown. We both knew that the bridal angels had led us to this incredible woman. I cannot believe the positive reviews this place has received after my horrific experience there. I went to pick up a few bridesmaid dresses. Iman was helping another bridal party, so I patiently waited until she was finished. They left about 10 minutes later. When I told Iman I was here to pick up the dresses she told me that the girl who gets the dresses was not there and I was going to have to wait 15 to 30 minutes! As Iman was doing nothing and just sitting behind her desk, I asked if she could get the dresses for me because I had 2 people waiting in the car. Her reply: ""That's not my job."" I was pretty stunned. Then I asked if she was the owner and she said that she hires her employees so she can point at them and tell them what to do! At some point my 2 friends came in to see what was taking me so long. We all tried to politely convince her to get the dresses. After being told that she hoped we didn't raise our children the way we were raised she called down an employee that was helping another party and made her get my dresses. I do hope that that girl realizes she does not have to work for such a tyrant. There was another employee who stood next to Iman and also did nothing to help our situation. I will be sure that no one I know goes to Iman. What a horror show! The icing on the cake, the dresses were gigantic on everyone. Another bridesmaid called to complain and Iman told her that these dresses were known to run very large. I know they order them larger than your size so you can get it fitted perfectly, but I can't understand why she didn't take this into account when ordering them. No one can imagine how I've made it through this nightmare!\r \r I went to Bridal Couture for my wedding gown. After leaving a deposit of 60% of the total cost of my gown (including potential alterations) and my mom's and maid's gowns I called to find out when I should schedule my first fitting to find out that they were CLOSED!\r \r I lost my mind...My girlfriend told me to just move on and find a new gown. My wedding was is in 3 months!\r \r After crying my eyes out I wanted to go to sleep and my fiancee always leaves News 12 Long Island on before bed to watch the weather. God must have known what to do because while he was in the shower I saw a story about two brides in my same position. Their angel...Iman saved the day. I figured, why not? Give it a try!\r \r I called to schedule an appointment with her and made one for later that week. I googled ""Iman Bridal Couture"" and saw lots of reviews, both good and bad. I wanted my dress and figured I wouldn't lose anything by meeting with her to see if she could help me like she helped the others. \r \r She didn't only help me, she saved the day! She took care of everything! She contacted the 3 different manufacturers for my gown, my mom's and bridesmaids! She offered her services for alterations! She totally got everything back in check so that I could focus on the big picture -- my wedding!\r \r God bless Iman and her staff. They are a godsend! If you don't go there then you'll never know what you're missing! Trust me...She's helping 52 other brides in my same position! I got married this summer and went to Iman after countless recommendations from people I know. It is a beautiful boutique with amazing gowns! Iman and her entire staff were so great! I had an idea of the dress that I wanted and they actually created it for me. Iman and Soluvia helped me to make many decisions in customizing my dream dress. They were not only professional, but incredibly sweet. My dress did not fit when it came in and I was frustrated and a little bit upset. They promised that the dress would be perfect and they were absolutely right! The day of my wedding I could not believe how perfect my dress looked and how comfortable it was! Iman truly cares about her clients and makes everyone feel important and special. This personal experience is not typical at larger bridal stores. I just got married last month and cannot express how happy I am with my experience at Iman's. She and her staff were wonderful and they made everything perfect, not only for me but my entire entourage. Everyone adored their gowns but they fell in love with Iman, Teresa, Benita...her entire staff! \r \r She is not your typical sales person, she makes sure she makes ALL your dreams come true. I have refered a countless number of people there = brides, sweet 16-ers, prom-goers, everyone and anyone who needs her services and they all call me thanking me for the referral.\r \r I can't wait to visit Iman again for another dress. Wow, people can be malicious! After reading these reviews I am appaled at how untrue and slanderous these allegations are. Here's my fairytale story and it's ALL TRUE! Back in 2000 my sister stumbled upon Iman's Bridal Couture just to look around. She went to other places and returned to Iman's because of her wonderful service and professionalism. My sister, mother, bridal party and aunts all got their dressed from Iman's. She even came to the house to dress my sister! When it was my turn to walk down the aisle, Iman personally helped me select the gown of my dreams and I was elated. She was kind, patient and understanding even though when I started I was confused and indecisive. Fitting after fitting she took the time to perfect what I wanted and explained every last detail to the seamstress working on my magnificent gown. Fittings were so much fun because again everyone became a client of Iman's. You cannot imagine how happy I was with my gown and not only did she show up at my house to dress me but she also came to the reception to bussle my dress! Now that is dedication and professionalism, so much in fact that I refer EVERYONE to her and have NEVER heard a negative response. When my daughter was born I asked Iman to create her Christening gown out of an old gown I had hanging in my closet. Needless to say it was spectacular! She even made her a matching cape! Most recently my youngest sister got married and we ALL went there with ear-to-ear grins on our faces just to be back in Iman's again. Not only did my sister score two gorgeous gowns but my mother, my sister's mother-in-law, the bridal party, my aunts and a number of guests became clients of Iman's. If you're looking for a chop-shop type of salon go somewhere else. Iman and staff are ready willing and able to make all your dreams come true - after all isn't this something we've all been dreaming about since we were little girls? Every girl growing up has dreams about there wedding and especially there wedding dress.......Iman and her staff made my experience and dress more then what I had envisioned. From the time I walked in I knew this was a place that I wanted to get my dress from. When you walk in you get the feeling like you are home. What I liked most about the place was her selection of classy, elegant dresses but that I also had the option of her to design a dress. It was not like the big places that overwhelm you that have tons of people in them and you cannot get someone to pay attention to you let alone find a dress. How many places can you go and be the only one in there looking at dresses and have the owner working with you. Iman knows what looks good on you and has class. If a dress does not suit you she will help you find one that is right for your body type....you are not buying a dress from a sales person you are getting a dress from a designer. From the dress to the shoes to the veil, down to your jewelry she will help make you look like the most elegant classy bride out there. She outfitted my bridesmaids and mother as well. All of us looked stunning to say the least. Just got engaged, went to Iman to look for gowns. Came to city search to see if any reviews... The bad reviews are way too angry, the good reviews seem like advertisements or attacks on those who left unhappy remarks... sounds like an employee to me. Very unprofessional, which leads me to believe the bad reviews. BUT to do what citysearch is made for... Large selection, prices are reasonable. Chix boutique. I never post on citysearch, but felt compelled to after the great experience I had at Iman. The three staff I interacted with were such a pleasure! Iman definitely knows what she is talking about! I was there for a bridesmaid dress fitting, but perused the wedding gowns and the selection is incredible and prices aren't bad either. The ambiance in the victorian-style house boutique is very warm and comfortable -- this is the type of place with personalized service you want . I've been in a number of weddings, and this boutique tops the charts in my book! Maybe the poster below was upset b/c she had to go up a size in her dress?! \r Hi everyone, I don't know about everyone else but I had the best experience when I went to Iman's salon.\r Their sales staff was so friendly and patient with me....especially since I was a Bridezilla and no other salon could take my sh... At Iman's I was treated like family and ""NOT"" just another sale.\r Iman was honest with me from the beginning telling me what looked good for my body and what didn't! \r I appreciated the fact that she didn't ""YES'me to death just to make me buy the dress and let me tell you...I was a b... on wheels. My sister and I just bought a wedding dress here. Sales staff was so sweet, prices were great and Iman herself was so accomidating to help my sister find the prefect dress in her budget. You can tell that Iman really cares about the brides that come in to her store. We felt at home, not being ""sold"" on anything and most of all relaxed about making such a big decision. We highly recomend visiting this store- beautiful dresses too!! more
