DN Van Lines

What was supposed to be a leisurely move with plenty of time for planning turned into a stressful rush when a family emergency interfered with my plans. DN Van Lines accommodated me without blinking! I was able to book my move with less than a weeks notice for the weekend directly before the Fourth of July holiday. My movers (Ian and Ariel, two thumbs up for them! Seriously, they are awesome ninjas of moving) arrived within the window and worked quickly to clear my current apartment in temperatures nearing 100 degrees. They worked equally quickly to unpack me after having to drive down a particularly gnarly stretch of highway during rush hour on a Friday evening. Throughout it all they were friendly and polite and I didn't hear a single complaint (and nothing bothers me more than someone griping about having to do their job!). Oh, and the whole job was reasonably priced, too! I am now blissfully unpacked in my new digs without a single trinket broken. I highly recommend DN Van Lines, especially Ian and Ariel. more

I've used many movers in the past, but this company stands out head and shoulders above them all. I moved this March from Arlington to Boston under a tight timetable and an even tighter budget. These guys not only showed up when they were supposed to, they also actually beat the quote that they gave me. Now don't get me wrong, these guys were NOT the cheapest option out there, but considering they showed up on time, came in under budget, did not damage any of my furniture, and did it all with smiles on their faces, I could not ask for more. If you're thinking of using them, I recommend you do and you won't be disappointed. more

Best Moving Company I ever used! The movers were quick, careful and very professional, the move took less than expected. All my things went to storage for 10 days, the movers properly packed my things with plastic bags to make sure nothing was going to be damaged. It was a great experience, I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them more

DN van lines did a great job. From Matt who helped me on the phone in figuring things out to the three movers who came and took care of business. They were friendly and polite. They were concerned about protecting our belongings and our home which really impressed us. The move did take 2 hrs longer than expected but our number of boxes was way underestimated - something that is probably hard to estimate. This company had some of the best rates and did a great job. I highly recommend them! more

I hired this company to send a few guys to my house to load my stuff into shipping containers for a cross-country move. DN Van Lines does moves as well, but cant vouch for them there because I used Smart Move to provide the containers and do the actually shipping from Boston to Seattle. The charge was $119/hr for 3 men (total), plus $119 charge for their trip to my house and back. This seems to be the going rate in the Boston area. The guys came late (1.75 hrs after the end of the 3-hr window when they were supposed to come), but they were great. They were very nice and courteous, took great care with my boxes and furniture, and worked very efficiently. It took them 2.5 hrs to load my large 1-bd apartment into 3 containers. The guy I booked with, also at DN Van Lines, called several days before to confirm everything, called the day of the move to alert me to the delay in the men's arrival, and called the morning after to follow up and get my feedback. So, despite the delay, I was quite happy with the whole deal. more
