DJ Hoof developed an intense love of music, most likely right after leaving the womb. For as long as he can remember, no stereo has been safe from the hands of Hoof. At age 10 DJ Hoof discovered the art of mixing and the remix thanks to now defunct radio station KHTK in St. Louis. The radio landscape in Hoof's hometown of Kirksville, MO only offered staples of country and classic rock. So for the next 7 years, he spent the late Friday and Saturday nights of every family visit to St. Louis recording the mix shows from KHTK and WKBQ. At age 15 DJ Hoof taught himself to mix in the bedroom on 1 turntable and 1 CD player, neither one designed for DJ use. He would attempt to record crude remixes on cassettes. With his high school graduation money he bought his first real set of turntables. Now for the past 11 years DJ Hoof has rocked countless school dances, fraternity parties, weddings, and clubs.
