A great place to shop and save! 9/6/2006

I've shopped here many, many times. Huge selection of books, CD's, DVD's, magazines, and more. The clearance section is quite large as well. I pick up paperback books here for $1 when I'm heading out on vacation. When I'm finished with it, I leave it behind or sell it back to another used book store at the location I'm visiting. I've shopped at different locations around the city and each has a different feel, along with different books, etc. If you don't find a book you're looking for at one location, they might have it at another! more

Half Price Books 3/22/2006

Half Price Books is one of my favorite book stores in the Twin Cities of Mpls/St. Paul. The name says it all..the books are much less expensive than regular stores. Many of the books are used...gently, and therefore the reduced price. The selection is fantastic and rivals any big name book seller. They also sell new books and other gift items such as journals and calendars. You may bring in your books to this store to get paid for them. more

Buy but don't sell 3/16/2006

I have been frequenting this book store for years now. I find many hard to find books and the selection is wonderful. I am not very happy with the "selling" of books. I have brought in mint condition books many times for them to just either turn me away or offer me next to nothing....and many of these books were brand new when I brought them in. I recommend Half Price books when in need of a book but don't go there in hopes to make money off of selling any books. more
