I don't just expect good customer service from a real estate management group, but also consistancy and curtesy, especially in this competitive market. I moved to Guerneville 5 months ago, and had been warned that D & G didn't have a stellar reputation...I found this true myself. I had sent multiple emails about properties I was interested, and never received any response. I then sent an email to someone in management, and they also did not respond. \r
What I did learn quickly if I was to live in Guerneville above waterline is to ask questions of the neighbors where you're looking, if not too familiar with the area. The pictures posted on D & G's website are VERY deceiving...cute looking picket fenced cottages in the pictures, but upon visiting most of the addresses, found depressing little dark ""shanty towns"" of tiny bungalos clustered right in the flood zone as if huddled together to act as a raft! I also am amazed that the same $500/monthly Monte Rio studio posted 5 months ago is STILL posted as available, as other rentals they offer. Either there's a major issue, or management is lazy about updating their site which'll waste your time. \r
I played it safer and veered far away from D & G, and went through a reputable company like Russian River Realty (ask for Katheryn!). Good luck in your search, and if new...Welcome to Guerneville!
Pros: None to list.
Cons: Seems to live up to poor reputation from anyone in town that's mentioned them.
