Initially my washing machine wouldn't drain water well and it went up to a point where it wouldn't spin at all. So I called D & B and asked for a help. I asked how much would final cost be to fix the problem and the lady on the phone said she doesn't know for sure but it won't be more than 80$ for SURE. So a technician came out to my place and as soon as he saw the machine (literally less than 10 seconds), he found the cause for it. He said if I wish to get the service done, the total would be $140 and if I don't want the service, I gotta pay around 40dollars for them to coming out to inspect it (which I agreed when I was making the first call). I told him about the lady (less than $80), and this time when he talked to her on the phone, she said "I've never said that. Maybe she misunderstood me. What I meant to say was no more than $80 for the LABOR cost." I was upset and didn't want to pay 40 something dollars for the 10 seconds. I asked the guy about any discounts. He said he can give me 10% off but here's the funny part. They wouldn't give me 10% off total. That 10% discount is only for the labor.. So they charged me ($62 for the part, $4.80 for the tax, $79 for the labor, minus $7.90 for the discount= total $137.90).. I learned my lesson (which later found oline that the part costs $10 and possibly I could did it with youtube videos). I should've researched more. Anyways...Besides false info from the lady, the technician knew what he was doing and did it very fast.
