The next time I see a dog in your restuarant, I will personally close it down and call the appropriate state agency. Shame on you.

Great food. I recommend their breakfasts. more

One of my favorite places to get breakfast. Great Omlettes and Eggs Benedict. Very simple and cozy (less than 40 seats). Quick service and the owner is a great host. Really want to try the German style dinner. Only drawbacks are the wait to get in and the tiny parking lot. Large portions help replace calories lost waiting outside. more

Wow! What a fantastic restaurant. As a tourist to the area the restaurant seems a little out of the way, but it is WELL worth it. This restaurant served fresh dishes and you can usually even hear them making it. I can honestly say this restaurant is a highlight of our trip. The location is very quaint and they have a great assortment of German beers. I can get over how fantastic this place was. more

As most of you know by reading my other posts my family and I like to eat out once in awhile, and when we do it needs to be worth it. I can assure you that the Cypress Nook is WORTH IT. Aesthetically it is a quaint restaurant with a small outside section which we sat in. The owners were also the chef and wait staff which I absolutely loved. They were very hands on with each and every table. Most restaurants in general the staff treat you like strangers where as at the Nook they treated you like family. Besides the amazing staff and service lets discuss the food. We have never had such flavorful potato pancakes and boy were they huge! The hubby got \r Wiener Schnitzel and I had Sauerbraten. Both dishes were reasonably priced and large portions. The schnitzel was moist and breaded perfectly. The sauerbraten was tender and melted in your mouth. We didn't save enough room for dessert this time, but for sure next time! more

Urbanspoon lists this as breakfast/lunch. It is also dinner with an outstanding dinner menu. Everything home made and delicious. Good price and large portions. Every table is full but it's worth the wait if there is one. more

We were looking for a breakfast place and saw this one on Urbanspoon and we were not disappointed. This is a no frills place that has great omelets and while we didn't have it the German fare looked amazing as well. All in all a great experience, oh and the price was right as well. more

Our first experience at Cypress Nook was for dinner and I can't emphasize enough how good it was. First of all, our waiter Rolf did an oustanding job. He made some great recommendations (food and German beer) and was super friendly and interesting. We ordered one of the night's specials, Lamb Shanks with two sides of the Chef's choosing and the Bavarian Weisswurst with German potato salad and sauerkraut. The Lanb shanks arrived accompanied by mashed potatoes and sauteed spinich and garlic. This meal was incredible. Everything was fresh and tatsy and the meat was super tender. I was hoping that the meal wouldn't end.. and it hasn't. The serving is enough for two meals so I'm experiencing it again tonight. The Weisswurst and sides were also wonderful but we enjoyed the lamb just a tad more. Lastly, the restaurant is small and quaint and has an overall nice and relaxing atmosphere. We were there near closing time, therefore, it may not be as relaxing when it's busier since it's small. The "Nook" is a must try. You'll be happy you did! more

Used urban spoon to locate a nice place for brunch when I was in the pompano beach area and Cypress Nook is what caught my eye. Nice cozy feel, food was great and a huge distance from the usual denny's. I will definitely go back again. more

Learned about this place from Urban Spoon's "You Might Also Like" suggestion -- check out the top right corner of the screen on a restaurant you have reviewed -- do it!\r Glad I did, or I never would have heard of this place. As many of the reviews have mentioned, it is small and it is loud and you might have to wait on the weekend...but there is a shady patio which makes waiting pleasant, and the food is well worth it...unless perhaps you are claustrophobic, haha. more

Very charming place with good food and service. This restaurant used to be a small home and it has a very nice vibe to it.\r \r I went with a group of co-workers and the service was excellent. The owner, Ilse came by and introduced herself to our party. She was very friendly and she made me feel like I was eating at her house, not a restaurant. Our server, Denise was very witty and had a nice personality. She took care of our big party with ease and was very efficient.\r \r The food was very good. The corn beef and hash made my mouth water and the grits were real creamy, which I like. The home fries were also very good because they had the right balance of onions and seasonings. My coffee was served in a mug that I think my mother has in the cupboard at her house lol. It was pretty cool. Remember to tell Denise that Dan " The Virgin" sent you and Stay Hungry! more

Yes, it is a bit cozy here, perhaps why Nook is part of the name. But the food is great (breakfast), and the service is good. It's been here forever, and is a family run restaurant. Ilse is the hostess & will seat you. Be prepared to wait for a table on weekends. more

the breakfast at this small restaurant is better than average but the tables are so squeezed together that when the waitress talkes to the table next to you she has her derier in your face. not so good when your eating. won't go back more

Perfect spot for breakfast but prepare to wait. The resturant is quaint although a little too crowded. The food is worth the inconvenience. If you like pancakes, these are wonderful Pros: excellent food Cons: too crowded more
