Our first experience at Cypress Nook was for dinner and I can't emphasize enough how good it was. First of all, our waiter Rolf did an oustanding job. He made some great recommendations (food and German beer) and was super friendly and interesting. We ordered one of the night's specials, Lamb Shanks with two sides of the Chef's choosing and the Bavarian Weisswurst with German potato salad and sauerkraut. The Lanb shanks arrived accompanied by mashed potatoes and sauteed spinich and garlic. This meal was incredible. Everything was fresh and tatsy and the meat was super tender. I was hoping that the meal wouldn't end.. and it hasn't. The serving is enough for two meals so I'm experiencing it again tonight. The Weisswurst and sides were also wonderful but we enjoyed the lamb just a tad more. Lastly, the restaurant is small and quaint and has an overall nice and relaxing atmosphere. We were there near closing time, therefore, it may not be as relaxing when it's busier since it's small. The "Nook" is a must try. You'll be happy you did!
