Go anywhere else---her work ranges from average to really quite shoddy and she will overcharge you if she thinks she can get away with it (as another reviewer has noted). The last time I was in there she was quite rude; I will never go back. Go to Fashion Tailors in Durham for much better work, reasonable prices, and incredibly friendly people. more

Bad experience at Cynthia's Tailor Shop 2/27/2008

I was unpleasantly suprised when I was charged double what I paid for the top I took to be mended. When I told her the price was unfair, she replied saying that what she had done had taken "time and effort". I showed the top to another seamstress who confirmed what she did took all of five minutes. STAY AWAY! I had also taken a pair of pants in to be mended, and the price for those was low but the workmanship was terrible-the thread color was wrong and the seam was crooked. Never going back. more

Good service, prompt 8/4/2005

This tailor shop did a great job fitting and doing alterations on a formal dress. Also, they hemmed a few pairs of men's pants and they look good. The service was friendly and the turn around time was prompt. This shop is located in University Plaza, so parking isn't a problem. I would recommend them. more
