I felt well cared for by Dr. Cynthia Thaik and her staff -- particularly Karla at the front desk who helped me fill out all that paper work; nurse Elizabeth who was quick and considerate in prepping me for tests and Patrick who gave me my flue shot -- and remembered me from five years ago and how to pronounce my unpronounceable last name. Dr. Thaik had recommended that I buy a blood pressure machine and Patrick tipped me off on where I could get the best one for the least amount of money. As for Dr. Thaik, she was considerate and helpful in several ways. Some physicians rush through the conversation and the check-up -- but I felt Dr. Thaik generally took time to get to know my and my health concerns and was truly eager to listen to what I had to say. She also provided a free copy of her excellent book -- maybe I'm jumping the gun to label it "excellent" but in the first few chapters that I've skimmed I've already learned a great deal about my heart issues.
