I always got my bike back with something else wrong with it. AND I got a new battery one week day, and by that weekend,, I had to push it to start it, and trickle charge it when I...

Extreme RIP OFF alert. 2/15/2012

First off, the people at this shop are awesome, but someone is mandating they lie and rip people off. I went here with my bike, needing some cosmetic repair, nothing serious but the previous owner had crashed it and it needed to be fixed. The original estimate was reasonable-ish, at $1000 to $1200 with most of the labor included in the price. When I came back a week later, much to my dismay they told me that the original estimate was incorrect and it was going to be 3 grand... that's THREE TIMES the original estimate ! So i said hell no. Getting the bike back was an uncomfortable process to say the least but i'm not going to get into that. Next thing I did was ask a second opinion. The second estimate was $2000 - $2100 MAX but note that this estimate had new tires included which the first did not. That was still too much for me so I did it myself. The total repairs cost me $600 and it took me 3 hours to do.... so that can just tell you that they're tacking on a HELL OF A LOT of UNNECESSARY FEES !!! Here's a synopsis : Their first estimate - $1000 Final estimate - $3000 Final ACTUAL COST - $600 +/- $100 So, if you don't mind getting ripped off, by all means go to cycle city. more

Cycle City fixes them right 10/29/2008

I own a 1979, Tenth Anniversary Edition, 750 Honda. The bike's carbs were fouled, fouled badly. I took the bike to Cycle City where they put in such a special effort toward its repair. The technician, Rod, took it as a personal challenge to get the thing running like new. Most shops wont touch a bike this old, and the ones that do are going to charge you a fortune to do the work. I couldn?t be happier with the craftsmanship, the service or the price it cost me.\r Now, that being said and in the interest of full disclosure, I know Dan Dreyer and his son. As a matter of fact, I know his whole family. I will tell you this, kinder and trustworthier people you will never meet. My wife and I feel fortunate to consider them all our friends. \r I have been a small business owner for twenty years. I?ve learned that customers can be the best part of the day, or they can make your day absolutely miserable...your whole week even. Every business owner tries to give the best experience to the customer as possible. The Dreyer?s are no exception; I know this about them. No one is in business to lose business. When I read a negative review such as the one written by ETOH, I know which type of customer this guy is. I have been f-ing with guys like this for years. It is obvious that his review is untruthful and it is slanderous. To think that the owners of a shop would handle a situation such as he described is ludicrous. To think that Dan Dreyer or his son would handle his specific situation as he described it is simply beyond belief. I can?t speak to his motivation for writing it, but I think the review is untrue.\r Cycle City is a reputable shop. The owners of Cycle City are trustworthy, honest, hard working people. They do not deserve reviews like the one posted by this ETOH WHO CAN?T SEEM TO FIND THE CAP LOCK BUTTON ON THE KEYBOARD. Guys like this are around, and regretfully, we all have to deal with them?at least once. Pros: Reputable, trustworthy shop more

Best Service I have EVER experienced 10/28/2008

I went into Cycle City Saturday a few weeks ago when it happened to be very, very busy. My Suzuki GSX-R stalled around 4:50pm. I called Cycle City because my friend told me it was a great place to take my bike. I spoke to Junior, he said they were closing at 5pm. He actually came and picked me and my bike up. He stayed an hour and a half later by himself helping me. I couldn't get a hold of anyone to come pick me up, so he dropped me off at home in San Juan Capo. The best service I have EVER had. I have told everyone about Cycle City and how great they are!! Pros: Service, very clean shop, very nice people more

Great service at Cycle city! 10/28/2008

Hmmm\r I have been using Cycle City, since the new year. I can honestly say, I am happy every time I walk out of the store. I get good service from behind the counter, and service on my motorcycle has been flawless.\r I have recommended many, many, friends, and have not heard one complaint.\r The individual that placed a complaint here should have done as slowpro says ""handle it more professionally"" My husbands big Harley, always needs repairs and Cycle city is always the first choice for repairs and they do it right, and they do it fast.\r \r Also to ETOH, the computer has a CAPITAL LOCK BUTTON on the left side, use it!\r Pros: Fantastic store Cons: None what so ever more

In response to the above accusation... 10/28/2008

Wow...A customer with a bad experience. I find it hard to believe it happened as you state. I am calling you a liar. I have worked with Cycle City, with both Hesh Boher, and Dan Dryer (New owner) and without doubt, know it is far better now. For one, there is no smell of grass in the air !\r \r If you had an issue the best, and most professional way to handle the ""claim"" is to write a letter. Yes put it in writing. I have worked at, and managed several dealers. It is impossible to make everyone happy all the time, I am certain, you are the type that is never happy no matter what the circumstances.\r \r I have first hand watched as the employees have stayed late to take care of a customer, even though, they have a life outside of work as we all do. To say this is the worst experience you have ever had, I would venture a guess, a bet even, that you are just a difficult person.\r \r I proudly, run Cycle City, stickers on all my race bikes, and my vehicles, because I am keen to what works. I have been around the motorcycle industry all my life. I know the difference between good, and bad customer service...Cycle City, is at the top of the proverbial chain !\r \r I am sorry you had a bad experience, but your actions to write such a poor review, shows what a punk you really are, instead of stepping to the plate and work it out like a man\r \r Your letter encourages me to go spend money at Cycle City !!!\r \r I proudly Pros: Quick more
