I have been coming to this pharmacy once a month (at one point it was once a week) ever since I got sick 3 years ago. The pharmacy staff has always treated me very well and made me feel like part of the CVS family. Unfortunately, the pleasant atmosphere ended when they hired a Pharmacist by the name of Robert Owens. I have never seen a store employee treat customers so poorly. He had erroneously filled a Rx with the incorrect number of pills. Honest mistake, I understand they work long hours and slip-ups happen. When I brought the bottle in to inform him of the mistake he became very irate at the suggestion that he made a mistake. He told me that he never makes mistakes and triple counts the pills. I am sure he did triple count the pills, unfortunately he triple counted 60, not 90. He maintained that the missing pills were in some way my fault and offered me no help. This was right after Christmas and my doctor was out of town. I have never felt so helpless in my life. You would think, of all people, you would be able to trust a pharmacist to give you the correct pills at the correct dose, but that just isn’t the case. In fact, the way he acted toward my dilemma made me question his integrity as a pharmacist. I called corporate and they told me that mistakes like that happen and he should have filled the missing pills. Luckily, a different pharmacist was working the next day and she fixed his problem and was very nice and apologetic about his behavior. I just wanted to warn other customers that if Robert Owens is the pharmacist on duty when you drop off your prescription, make sure you double check that it was filled properly or else you could be stuck without the medication you need. Better yet, bring it back later when another pharmacist is on duty.
