During the past Holiday season one of my checking accounts was compromised. I closed it and immediately sent a replacement check to the CVS Pharmacy along with an explanation.
During this time I went to the Pharmacy and nothing was ever said to me.
Until last week. My check was stapled with a note to my prescription
stating that ""they couldn't accept this check...I would be billed by CVS.""
Confused I asked ""Why?"" Repeatedly I was told to ""call the Corporate Office."" I asked why would I call Corporate when their Billing Department Staff was in that store.
The Pharmacist replies were: ""The Billing Department does NOT share any information with her department.""
A long story short:
West Boylston Billing Dept. Staff NEVER contacted me; instead they sent the original check to a COLLECTION AGENCY.
The original check was for under $25
ended up costing almost $60!
That is a lot of money for a 70 year old widow living on a fixed income.
I have credit ratings near 800 and been an excellent customer for 2 decades to CVS WEST BOYLSTON, MA. On Holidays I have brought the Pharmacy Staff Italian cookies.
It's not like we live in a large city; yet the CVS BILLING DEPARTMENT never contacted me.
The WB Pharmacy Staff appeared to have no say or wanted to even help.
Customer Service is NOT a Department it's an ATTITUDE.
There is NO Customer Service when most needed. With CVS it's MONEY.
I will never shop at CVS again.
