I called two weeks ago to order a live well, got a recording. I made a second call got another recording, and left another message, got a return call which I missed. I made another call, only to get a recording, left another message expressing interest in ordering a live well haven't from them since. After reading some of the reviews I believe I'll try someone else more

never got it 9/10/2019

I made an order back in July, and I made several phone calls and left messages for a return phone call. I only got a phone call back when I left a message like I was calling about a new order, which he called back and I believe he didn't leave a message when he realized who it was he called based on my name on the voicemail. I had to file a dispute with paypal to get my money back. I would not recommend this company to anyone. more

Awesome Baitwell 6/29/2013

I ordered a 12"x17"x30" stand alone baitwell for the space in front of my livewell for use when shiner fishing in Florida. The baitwell exceded my expectations and was delivered in the timeframe promised. Material and workmanship is excellent I could not be more pleased! more

Awsom bait well 6/19/2013

Travis was very helpful these live wells are built to last and I knew nothing about installing one.Travis walked me thru thru the process. My boat is a 14' aluminum deep v I removed middle seat and built in the bait well in its place. now I have the same as a new boat without the expense.the pictures on his web site were helpful to me seeing how other persons built theirs.I am thankful theirs people out their with the skill he has thanks Travis.... A talk of the lake custom live well. 6/19/2013

Travis made me a 14" x 14" x 48" live well / bait well combo as per my specifications. I no longer have to deal with minnows dying. I had Travis incorporate windows on both side of my live well section so that both myself and my fishing guest can view our catch all day long no matter which seat we sit in. The fishing trip is now elevated by being able to admire God's handiwork in fish we catch as we just marvel at them swimming inside our boat all day long. Throw your fish baskets and stringers away. Great Company, Great Service 6/5/2013

I had Custom Livewells make a custom livewell for my pontoon boat. I also ordered all the fitting for it too. The livewell was completed and shipped, and I installed it quickly and easily. Looked and worked great! About a year later I had damage to my pontoon boat which caused me to have to replace the seat the livewell was in. No damage to the livewell though, great contruction. The new seat did not have the same inside configuration as the old one, so the livewell did not fit in the new seat. Called Travis at Custom Livewells and explained my situation. He told me to ship it to him (I'm in Missouri) and he would modify it for me at no charge, I just needed to pay return shipping. I received the modified livewell back yesterday and once again it installed like a dream, and fit like a glove.I would heartily recommend Travis and Custom Livewells for your needs! more

Great Live Well! 5/7/2013

Travis Person, the owner of Custom Livewells, builds and delivers a quality product, to specifications. He may not be a great communicator, but he always returned my phone calls. The important thing is Travis is reputable, which is nice to know when you pay for the order in advance. I would recommend to Travis that he probably should establish an ongoing email system to keep customers informed on the status of their order. The reason I am posting on this website is that it seems people are quick to criticize and slow to praise! Bottom line, I'd do business with Custom Livewells in a heartbeat. Buyer Beware (Complete) 4/18/2013

Bringing a close to this long and frustrating saga. Travis finally sent the pump, fill tube, and overflow tube from the order I placed in Oct 2012. I rec'd the parts last week, 6 months after I paid for them. Maybe the lessen to learn is...don't buy the ancillary livewell parts from him??? more

incredible livewell 4/11/2013

If anyone is thinking about buying a livewell for your boat, then go to customlivewells.com. Just received my livewell and did not know what to expect. This livewell was beyond my expectations. It is a very well made and extremely strong livewell. All the dimensions, seams and lid were perfectly made. I was also impressed with the way it was wrapped and shipped in a custom box. Well worth the money. Can't wait to install it in my boat. Extremely happy with this livewell. Thank you Travis for a job well done ! Andy New York more

Buyer Beware (con't) 4/10/2013

This is a follow up to my earlier post where Travis promised to ship the remaining items ($75) from my October 2012 order. A very apologetic VM was rec'd on 04-03-13 saying I would get the parts Fed Ex by 04-05-13. Well, as of 04-10-13 still no parts. (By the way, I got the same type of apolgetic VM on 03-11-13) Travis can not be trusted as a business person. As a side note for you out-of-state buyers, I have been to his business to pick up my livewell. It is a 1950's style rambler with a single car garage. He works out of his garage! It is shabby looking, located in a residential area of White Bear Lake, MN. Not a real business store front as you may envision based upon his website. And, the shabby-ness carries through in the way he conducts business. Steer clear of Travis! more

BUYER BEWARE! 4/3/2013

In October, 2012, I paid the owner, Travis, $350 for a small custom livewell, 25 ft of hose, overflow tube, aerator fill nozzle, and pump. He told me it would be ready after the xmas holidays which I agreed to. When he told me the livewell was completed in January 2013, I went to his house to pick it up. Got the 25 ft of hose and livewell. He did not have the $75 of remaining accessories and said he expected them in the next couple of weeks and would UPS them to me. After many voicemails to remind him of his obligation, he called me March 11th and said he had the parts and would mail them. No parts arrived that week so many more voicemails and emails were placed. I listed this bad experience on another well know review website. Because I have an acct with them, they will try to mediate for me. April 3, 2013 Travis returned my calls saying he will FED EX the parts. We will see. more

I am a Charter Captain in Naples FL and I have a150 gal. Bait Well Combo from Custom Livewells. My experience with them was supurb. Not only did I recieve what I ordered in the time frame expected, the product was well above my expectations. I have used my Bait Well as a cooler as well and the insulation value is perfect, The ice held up to the heat for 4 days. Nice light weight tank and great looking product. Highly recomended. more

Still nothing!! 6/8/2011

I'm the guy that was waiting for 2 months for my livewell! Guess what? IM STILL WAITING!! I was told it was done and it was going to be here in 3-5 days! Travis told me it would be here on Monday! Surprise! Surprise! Nothing! I can hardly ever reach anyone when I call! You would think they would send you the shipping/ tracking number but I guess that would be asking to much! They have already messed up my deadline on my boat project and since my boat is in pieces waiting for the livewell I won't be able to take it on what was supposed to be awesome fishing trip that has been planned for months!! Thanks CUSTOM LIVEWELLS! I deserve a good chunk of money back for the hassle and headache! I was going to leave a comment about the quality of the product once it arrived but why bother the wait has ruined it for me!! I wouldn't recommend buying anything from these guys no matter how great it turns out to be!! The name should be "Custom Livewells You Will Get It When We Get Around To It!!!" more

Slow turn around time!!!!! 5/31/2011

Ordered my livewell almost two months ago and still nothing to show for my $$$!! I was told two different completion dates on two separate occasions and have now passed the last date by over a week!! They say it is done but we shall see! I really hope it was worth the wait! I'll post again once I get the long awaited product! more
